Anyway, my weekend was fantastic!
After Friday’s ‘brush with Roger’s butt’, I started out Saturday really really early. Nue, my part time cleaner, came to clean the house while i stoned on the couch until she was done. Then, cooked myself pasta and then went into the room, curled into bed with my apple comp and turned on the dvd. Really lazed about, fell asleep then woke up to get ready for the OUA gals’ night out.
Met the gals at Teahouse for a buffet tim sum. One shot, ordered almost everything on the menu, so our table had NO SPACE at all in the end!

After dinner, we went to Party World at Shenton way where we exercised our tummy and tried to digest all that food. It was hilarious!!! We kept laughing and laughing and laughing. Gosh, i’m gonna miss them sooo much when i leave.
Sunday was a day of hibernation. Technically was only up and about for a total of 4 hours. Yawnz. Nothing else to say since only have 4 hours alive time. :-p

LOL. This is wat happened. Roger’s dad (Steve), his wife (Lorna) came to visit Roger for about a week or so lah…. So naturally, we HAD to see his daddy just to see how he was like. hehehe… So the first meeting we had was at Muthu’s Curry @ Race Course Road. Not exactly the best food around, but the ang moh want air con and nice nice place, so MC was not too bad a choice in the end lah…. Then, we made the deal to bring them to the ever-interesting Orchard Towers on Friday night.

So met them at 11pm at the infamous Orchard Towers and took them for the really nice Jane Thai Food on the top floor of Orchard Towers. Damn nice one leh the food (eventho we din eat there yesterday night). Just that along with the very nice and authentic cuisine, you get a ‘nice’ and authentic experience with the ‘beautiful’ lady boys. :-p Afterwhich, we went to the club, and rog’s dad damn happening man!!! Dancing and all. Made rog drink a lot. hahaha.. Rog is damn bad at drinking and by the end of the night, he was already quite drink i think. LOL Actually hor, quite confirmed he quite drunk loh. coz when we were in the cab next to Rog+family’s cab, he was so drunk that when we were talking to his dad, he took off his pants and put it up against the window facing us. GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. His gf tried to cover his ass, but he’s got such a big and fat ass, how to cover! LOL. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!

Today was quite good. Went back JB early in the morning (ok, not THAT early) and surprised my dad for his bday. Had lunch with him and my mom and then went to Plaza Pelangi to do some shopping (eventho i’m superbly broke) and found a very very very nice and useful top! Wah. It is worth it loh. Can’t wait to wear it. While i was waiting for dad for lunch, he was actually operating on a doggy. My mom brought up one of the Golden retriever pups (just delivered) for me to play with. it was SOoOOOOooo cute! The eyes not even opened yet! I took some pics, but it looks really ugly on pic, but DAMN cute irl. Awwwwwwwww 
After Plaza Pelangi (and burning a hole in my already burnt pocket), i bought a cake for my dad and went home to slouch in the couch. Fell asleep til dinner, cut cake, gave daddy the pressie, then went for Mamak (my dad’s yearly bday dinner is that! hahaha) and then walked a lil while more, then came back. Aaaahhh…. life is good. Too bad gotta work tomorrow. SIAN. Nvm. Can’t wait for Sat coz going Karaoke with the gals of OUA and all. Nice. Started counting down liao: 15 more days!

Had a wonderful weekend, finishing work early (3pm) on Friday and coming in to work late on Monday (11am) means that I could really kick back, relax and all! Lemme see wat i did…
Friday night went to some house party with Carlo, then after that headed to MOS to meet Audrey and the rest. Dunno wat happened that day, SOOOO many ppl at the entrance. Grrr.. Took us like 10 mins (and loads of squeezing) to get thru to the Main Arena (they closed the entrance to Smoove for some reason. Cheh!) Wah, even Cindy, my buddy, was clubbing that night! WOOT! Got to drink apple shooters with her (actually she finished like 100 shooters liao loh, never wait for me!) and then went down to rnb for the dance.
Sat slept til afternoon (my cousin Jayne asked me “why are u still sleeping in the afternoon”… kids… they just dun get it!) Then after that went out to get lunch, came back, got ready for granny’s bday at The Teochew Restaurant, Concourse. The restaurant was OK lah. Food was pretty good, just that service at times sucks. There was this stupid Chinese waiter that was so rough that when he was clearing the dishes, he slammed the bowl in front of me on top of the plate that had some sauce in it and it splurted up to me. I was like, hey! And he looked at me, asked me wat was going on, then i told him but he just smiled. i was like WTH. Nvm. I got my revenge. Not purposely lah, but when he was clearing some other dishes at my granny’s table, i din see him, i got up and accidentally stepped on his feet. The wuss made a loud noise, jumped around, ran to one side to nurse his foot and made a big deal outta it. After that, he came back limping. i was like, walau eh. Damn wuss loh. My lil cousin can take feet stomping better than that and she’s only 9.
Sun woke up in the afternoon as well. hahahaha.. I’m beginning to love my weekends! Ermm… wanted to go out at 3pm but fell asleep again (yes, i can really sleep) and then in the end only got out of the house by 6pm. Went to Comex with Ron, tried getting myself interested in buying something but nothing came to mind. In the end, went for dinner at this restaurant called Changing Appetites in Marina Square. The food there is pretty ok… started are good, but main course not too good… the restaurant was nicely decorated and all, but the mood there was damn weird. Maybe it was near to closing time (about 9.30pm) but that’s no excuse for the staff stoning and being black faced and all. When we reached there, the cashier didn’t pay us heed eventhough she saw us. Din even bother asking the waitress to come show us to our table. In the end, we had to wait eventho there was no queue in front of us just to be shown to our tables by a stoned looking young gal. Then, the manager came to take our orders. You would think the manager would like to set a good example to his staff, but NooOOooOOo. He was sooo black faced and moody and all. Spoke as though we were in a library and mumbled his way thru. Damn sian. Call the waiter do thing, he looked like we were robbing him or something. The ONLY friendly person there was a trainee. Walau eh, i told Ron & Brian, this trainee better get training elsewhere or he’ll learn all the wrong things abotu service.
I’m very particular about good service (who isn’t right) but mainly coz i used to work in Four Seasons so I kinda know wat service standards are. On the same note, i always respect service staff also coz i worked in Four Seasons and knows how sucky it is if a client is unreasonable, so i try to be as nice as possible to ppl behind the counters and/or serving us but walau eh, service in Singapore is getting from bad to worst!!!!! The campaign for good service ain’t working man!!!
Ok. u must be thinking why i put my title as such. It’s coz i just bought myself a DAMN GOOD mag called “Beauty Black Book”. U all know i not very good with beauty stuff and all loh, and i try to avoid putting too much make up and all, only coz i’m lazy and not very good at it lah. hahahaha.. but this mag, walau eh, damn good loh. It focuses on beauty– face, hair, skin and body; and the way it is written is as though it’s catering for first timers, and that’s why i love it. i’m still halfway thru it coz every page is information information and more information! I think i can’t cut out any pages to keep in the file (like i did before) coz the whole book is useful! hahaha. notice: i said BOOK not mag coz the content feels like it. The last time i ever subscribed to a mag was like 2 years ago or so (Cleo Mag) and that i stopped also coz Cleo got a lil too mundane with its contents liao. But this mag, walau eh, i already subscribed it last night without even finishing it. See how good that is.
So the next time u see me, maybe u’ll notice something different. Which is good. i think i need the change, mainly for my new old job. Heh. GOOD.

Yes. I admit it. I’m an addict. I have to join the DFA group– Donut Factory Anonymous.
I first heard about the 3 hour long queues at the Donut Factory when i first joined OUA. Actually, i smelt it first before i saw the queue and then when i saw the queue i was like, SIAO! Then i heard mixed reviews about it, like how good it is, then how normal it is, then how good it is bla bla bla. Curious, i tried to even join the queue on 3 occasions but failed. Too late lah. The line was closed coz not enough donuts. I started to get cravings for donuts and would try to find good donuts all over the island. At that point of time, i wasn’t going back to JB that often or even if i did it was for a quick stop so din have time to get dunkin donuts (which is ok lah)
Then i was like, f*** it. I ain’t queuing up for no donuts and slowly my cravings stopped and all. The queue was still long and i was still curious tho, to see wat the hype was about. It seemd all over-rated and i thought eventually the queue will stop, but NooOOooOo, it continued, even after the 2nd branch was opened at Suntec City!
Last Sunday, my mom, my sis, my granny and I was at Suntec and i saw the donut factory. They had a slightly shorter queue (for those buying up to a max of 2 donuts) and i made the biggest mistake by queueing up for the donuts. OH NO. Wat a GRAVE mistake. I tried the Lotus Mocha while my mom and sis tried the peanut dark choc and i kept one other donut for ron. OH MY GOSH. The choc sauce was still melted and the donut was warm. it was SUPER chewy, nothing like any donut i’ve ever tasted before. Enjoyed the whole process of eating the donut. u must be thinking, crazy gal, where got ppl enjoy donut like this, but in actual fact, i am NOT exaggerating!!!! Of coz to be fair, u cannot eat the donut once it is cold coz i tried the peanut choc donut i bought for ron and it tasted like any normal donuts u get at 7-11 or something.
But the freshly baked Donut Factory donuts are AMAZING. I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
Just when i thought i got over it, Shini’s sister called her today and asked if we wanted any donut factory. I was truthfully still sick over the HUGE choc cake & cheese cake we had yesterday at Seah St deli but in the end i couldn’t resist temptation so i ordered a peanut choc & a peanut butter filled donut, thinking i could save it for dinner.
The donuts arrived and I did the magic show: now u see it, now u dun. My gosh. I finished both in one seating. Talk about diet. Screw diet. I’m now on donut factory diet. :-p
Gosh. I GOTTA get over this addiction. This won’t do. ARGH!!!!!!!

Yes. The word is out so I might as well post this lah. Anyway, this is outta frenster liao so i guess only those who care and those who really have a lot of time will read this.
I have tendered my resignation yesterday from SMU’s OUA office. YES. I finally did it. not that i hate the place. in fact, i still love SMU as my alma mater. And i still ADORE my colleagues there. They’re really a fun bunch and very nice and all.. All almost the same age mah and all also pretty crazy and are foodies… never thought that working with that many women would be this fun. Sigh… That wat makes my heart soooo pain leaving the place. But THANK GOD man. I felt SO relieved after putting my letter to my director coz there’ll be no more enquiries from stupid idiots who never read the SMU website and asks the simplest of the simplest questions! URGH. No more feeling like a receptionist and redirecting everyone and anyone that the security refers to the office. No more feeling useless. Yes! I think the most important thing is not meeting the irritating ppl who (if i had any white hair) i’d have to thank for my white hair.
Feel a lil surreal now… Dunno wat will happen but it’ll be for the better since I’m going back to an environment that I love. hehehe… Dunno if i’ll have time to write blogs that often anymore, but will try to do so. Can’t wait lah.

Ok. So free so write loh. Not TAT free lah. house is in a mess, tortoises smell and the dishes hasn’t been washed for over 3 years (ok, exaggerating there)Anyway, i’m so glad for last week. Survived Gym session with Zann on Tuesday and Aikido on Thurs (except the fact that Augustine tried to break my wrist!!!! So strong until never gimme warning then suddenly just twisted my wrist. Walau eh). For the aikido session, one of the students, Ziang, took photos for some CCA night and all (actually, i still dunno the reason lah. hahaha) Anyway, got some nice shots in.. have posted it on shutterfly, so go take a look k?
Hmm… Well, Friday was a BLAST! Celebrated Wanru’s belated bday at where else, MOS loh. :-p Will have more pics up soon. So lazy to work the Shutterfly and all. Sigh… I actually took loads of pics leh, from like 2 mths back until now but i din have time or the inspiration to load it up. hehehe… We’ll see…
Ok Sunday basically was going all around with Carlo & Ron to look at Carlo’s lappy and he finally decided to buy an apple… Had billy bombers for dinner and then ben & jerry’s. YUMMY but feeling DAMN guilty now loh. heheheh…. Ok, and just found out Ron has chicken pox. YES. So old then get chicken pox. LUCKILY Roger, Carlo and I got chicken pox before liao, so heng ah!!!!!! hehehehe
Sigh… Suddenly no inspiration to write liao. I think it’s coz of the TNMT VCD that i borrowed. But somehow that show not as nice as before. Quite boring and the turtles look malnourished. hahahha…

Anyway, we were about to go to a rock concert (actually, a malay concert called Rock-Live!) when Ron found 2 tortoises in the void deck. Soooo poor thing. Curses to the person who left it there. Damn poor thing loh. Sigh. Anyway, we decided to adopt them and i’m glad that decision was made. So cute leh. They are pretty smart and all and i had a blast playing with them last night. They run damn fast loh! At first, i’m very scared of holding them and touching them coz i thought it’d be damn slimy. But yesterday, i took the courage and then i just kept playing with them man. SOooOooo cute! The aquarium that ron built them had rocks and a plant and all and i think they’re having fun in it loh. hehehe…
So anyway, this morning had difficulty waking up, as usual. haha. Couldn’t wait for lunch. Speaking of lunch, this is DAMN funny, must say here. We had food at Cafe Cartel, Raffles City (I’m gonna BOYCOT that place!). Service damn bad, food was ok since it was after all a branch, but wat was the worst was this: My colleague, Zann, paid using her card and passed it to the supervisor or something to be brought to the counter. It was taking toooo long, so we decided to go to the counter to pay instead. Well well well, they COULDN’T find the card. So after looking thru and all, they realised someone else had signed for Zann and took the card away. The supervisor went to double confirm while the receptionist (DAMN RUDE) kept saying wait wait (note: no apologies all the way ok!). Confirmed that the guy signed it. It seems that he insisted that the card was his and signed and took the card and left. That stupid guy (Tay some thing)!!! Can’t he tell the difference between a POSB Go! Card and a Citibank Credit card? The only similiarity they had was the color. But other than that, everything was different, esp the name!!!! Anyway, the supervisor called the bank to get the guy’s number and since we were rushing back to the office, Zann asked us to quickly walk first (still had to quickly buy her gym towel for her) while she waited for the guy. I asked Zann to take a pic of him.
Walau. Talk about tortoises. This guy reminds me of one loh. Only i think he’s stupidier than my Void & Deck (yes, my tortoises are named after the place they were found at). Walau, he asked the counter gal why she let him take Zann’s card away and i believe he was rude about it (she din say that lah, but i assumed lah). The counter ppl also damn stupid, never check signature and all. STUPID ppl. Sommore no apologies. That’s worst!!!!!!! U know wat was the best thing about that tortoise head guy? He asked, “how bout the other receipt i signed” and insisted he wanted that copy. Come on lah, dumb butt, of coz your sig doesn’t mean anything right? the bank ain’t gonna deduct anything based on your ugly signature loh. STUPID STUPID STUPID!
Edited: Oh ya, and i thought maybe some romance can spring between Zann and the cardholder.. u know, the type u see in the movies? LOL. Walau eh, disappointment!

Yes, must give credit where credit is due. So far, thanks to Mumtazz, I managed to get a pair of FREE tics to Good Vibrations, a pair of tics to One Nite Stand Comedy Club (twice in fact), a free bottle of Olmeca Gold Tequila (which i’m now swearing off coz it made me puke big time) and a pair of tics to Singfest! WOOT!
Wah. Amazing right. All in all i have won about SGD$800 worth of goodies from them. I’m still very greedy, so I’m still gonna try to win more. After all, they could use a loyal ‘gian peng’ person like me. Hahaha.
Anyway, speaking of Singfest. Walau, damn lucky loh. I din even think about the contest that i entered. I reached home pretty late, didn’t want to check my email but then it kept bugging me, so i decided to quickly check it. Lo & behold!!!! “Dear Ming Ming, Congratulations! You are one of our lucky winners for a pair of tickets to Singfest 2007!… bla bla bla”. I quickly checked the website to see which day I was up for, and i was damn happy to know that i got the tics for the first day! WOOT! Shaggy! Cindy Lauper! Sugar Ray! Pet Shop Boys!!!!!!!! Damn exciting loh.
So when Ron and I reached Singfest, we were quite late liao. Sigh. Shaggy was singing his last song. Dammit! Nvm lah, coz it was a break (the in between acts damn bad! but that’s another paragraph of story) and we managed to secure a place at the front row (i hugged the barricade the whole night and din even go to the toilet or get a drink coz i dun want ppl to take my place).
Back to the in-between acts, if u can even call them acts. There was this emcee cum dj called Kevin. OMG. I can say hor, i think i can mix better than him. All he does is press button. stop. play. stop. play. talk talk talk. Damn bad loh. Then he keeps shouting “Ppl, put your hands in the air” at the most inappropriate times. You can only shout these when the crowds are rara-d enough right!!!! DUH! Ok. Then there’s this cute couple, actually twins. Quite good looking and all. But damn idiots lah. They were mixing (again, dunno wat they doing lah) and all but they are only good for one thing– and i guess they knew it that’s why they named themselves for the one thing they were good at– being eye candy. So they’re called the Eye Candy Twins (www.theeyecandytwins.com– yes, i purposely looked them up to put their website here. u will see they are goodlooking, but that’s just about all their talent). Sigh. It became sooo bad that their first set, this ang moh kept boo-ing them and kept shouting “we want real music” hahaha…. and then for the second set (they came up again after sugar ray, it was damn blatant that they were damn lousy. The emcee came up said “ladies and gentlemen, that was sugar ray” damn loud clapping and cheering and all; then he said “and let’s welcome back the Eye Candy Twins”– Booing and silence. LOL. Ok. Now to the acts. Since we missed Shaggy, we had to stay on for this group called The Stranglers. I dunno wat group these ppl were but they damn old loh. DAMN old. Hahaha.. Din like ANY of their songs. They always start off with a really nice rhythm then after the first line, i sian already. So wasted wat feels like an eternity (eventho it’s only an hour). Sigh…. Then came Cindy Lauper. Woot! Ok, i was there for these acts (in order of importance): Pet Shop Boys, Cindy Lauper, Shaggy & Sugar Ray. So i missed Shaggy right. Not really, coz Cindy did a remix with Shaggy. yeay! But then again hor, her act not that fantastic lah. She trying too hard to be cute.
Anyway, then came Sugar Ray. OH MY GOD. They were FANTASTIC!!! It really helped being on the first row man. Can see EVERYTHING clearly. Even the butt crack of Matt Mcwateverhisnameis thru his white t-shirt. LOL. Damn shiok man being front row! I knew all their songs but just 2. So i was practically screaming and singing and shouting and jumping and dancing away man. It was AWESOME! Sigh. Their act too short lah (only one hour). Dammit.
Ok then, we waited for Pet Shop Boys. Walau eh, their set took damn long to set up can! It was coz they had so many props and all, but of coz it’s the nicest set up (seeing they only had a keyboard n the singer to offer) with all the lights and props and dancers and all. BUT hor. I tell u hor. PSB’s act was WORST than The stranglers. Walau eh. I dunno lah. Maybe it’s coz i was soooo tired of waiting or wat, but their acts seem sooo boring, their back up dancers were trying tooo hard to act cute and/or be cool and all. sigh.
In the end i became a converted Sugar Ray fan and i just kept talking about them non-stop thru the journey home. hahaha
The next day, my entire body was aching, thanks to pulling Carlo’s bag in the morning (down the stairs, up the bus, down the bus, up the mrt, down the mrt, up the bus, down the bus and on to SMU); and then standing the entire evening (from about 8pm to 1.30am). Walau eh. It stil hurts now u know! Thank god it was National Day.
Ermm… but i din get to finish counting my blessings then i had to go to work. This time it’s a different kinda work. Every year, i’m the designated games coordinator for my cousins. My responsibilities for Joyce ended i think 2 years ago liao, and Faith stopped hers this year, so i am left with Jayne’s party. Imagine this: a 9-year-old kid, restless and loud at that. Imagine that times about 20. GOSH. Sigh. But ok lah, i gotta admit it was pretty fun (at least for the first 2 hours) and they’re all very smart kids so it made playing the games even more fun. But by the 3rd game, i had lost my voice and my energy to play any more games. All i did was slump on the couch and practised the art of ignoring. Hahahaha… I pretended the noise was from a really loud crazy rock band and stoned there while the kids entertained themselves. hahahaha…
Went home for a shower and a quick sleep and then went back to my aunt’s place coz my parents were here and i had to set up my daddy’s ipod nano for him. hehehehe… That was fun coz the food at night was so much better than the junk in the day that made me feel damn sick (not that it’s not nice lah, just very junky).
Ok. New Half Year resolution (something i really plan on keeping)– to really reach my weight goal. I’m going back to Aikido next Thurs after missing out on 4 of its lessons, and then i’m starting my weekly gym on tues at the SMU gym. Yes. And I shall endeavour to cut down on my sugar and salt further. Let’s see how far I’ll go with that. I wanna be able to fit into my skinny jeans again!!! It’s been sitting at the top of my cupboard for 3 years liao. sigh….

Yes. That was wat i saw in Shop n Save today!!!! SnS usually has like offers for nearly expired items and they usually place them on the counter next to the cashier. Wah. I was wondering what they meant by Tuna Steak Shit Sc. I was SO tempted to ask Auntie to let me take picture but that auntie looked sooo fierce i decided not to. Ok, not to keep you wondering, Tuna Steak Shit Sc refers to Ayam Brand’s Tuna Steak SHITAKE SAUCE flavour. Hahahaha.. Walau eh. What was the management thinking when they printed that sign!?!?! Anyway, i’m waiting for Pizza Hut to arrive. Wah, ordered nearly $50 worth of food for only 2 pax. hahahaha… I can’t wait to munch munch. Looks like I’m gonna grow even fatter! hahahaha Past weekend was quite good, except some rough patches here and there. But all in all, i had loads of fun! Carlo finally arrived after much anticipation in him coming to Singapore for his exchange. Met him straight after he arrived at the Summer Tavern last Thursday and took him for dinner at the Outram Park hawker centre. Haiyoh, the food there sucks now. Gosh. So paiseh to bring him, but i think he was quite happy lah, coz something new and different from Italy mah. After that, we sent him back and took one of his luggages to place at my place coz his staying in the hostel with a whole lotta guys in the bunk. Then on Friday, we took him to Orchard Towers along with Roger & Natasha. Had Thai food (actually watched Ron have his Thai Food coz we had already eaten dinner at Sketchers before).. again, culture shock for him, coz we know wat is at Orchard Towers at night loh. But if he was shocked, he din exactly show it.. I think it’s coz in italy, he’s been to gay and trans clubs to see see look look before, so he not as shocked as Roger was the first time we brought him to Orchard Towers. LOL. Ok. This part damn funny. Must tell!!!! As we were walking out of Jane Thai Food, dunno why ppl kept staring at Carlo… Then, these 2 trans walked pass us and as they did, one of them reached out hisher hand and touched Carlo’s face and quickly ran away. OMG. We were pretty shocked. ahahaha. STUNNED. I think Carlo even more stunned!!! But he was sucha good sport and even said he liked it. LOL. Yea right. So we actually finished quite early lah, went home, concussed. Sat i spent lazing about, playing with my new mac book and also cleaning the room a lil. OMG, so much cloths man!!! and most of them i dun wear. hahahaha…. Then at night, i went to meet Carlo for a night out with the babes at MOS!!! WOOT! Damn fun loh. hahaha.. Ok, my starter course is here. Not even the $50 pizza hut yet. LOL. i’m sucha glutton!!!!!

Anyway, today i turned on my frenster, and i dun usually get much testimonials… but hor, in the afternoon hor, i received one—from Kah Leong! WAH. Not bad leh he, quite sweet the testimonial…. Brought a smile to my face on this dreary and sleepy Wednesday. Thanks, KL & Lyn, for letting me be one of the luckier ones to not only share your blissful joy, but to be there with you many parts of the journey towards your wedding day. Awwwwwww….. Most ppl will go “this makes me wanna marry”…. I reserve my comments. :-p
Anyway, I’ve updated my pictures in shutterfly. I noticed that shutterfly has a very stupid system. Sigh. DAMN STUPID. If u update an album tat is already shared, it will not be updated in the actual website so u have to take it off, re-share again and then redo everything again! So even if i wanna delete something, i can’t. It’s a very painful process, eventho the uploading is damn fast lah. We’ll see wat happens. I too lazy to go find another website lah, but if u do know of a more user frenly website, lemme know k?! yes! First post from my mac. How exciting! yes yes, i din even plan on changing my lappy but my daddy, being the best daddy in the world, decided to take my ibm for his studies and bought me the mac instead. Sigh. now i sound so bratty, but i did insist that he should for once get the new computer and not passed down ones, but u know how daddies are like lah… ok ok dun wanna make u jealous about me and my daddy…
Anyway, ermm… need to get used to the keyboard. the keys are slightly further apart so my fingers are now having a hard time keeping up with wat i’m thinking. walau eh… but i have to admit it’s quite fun working with the mac again after muse inc…. just that the screen seems flatter than the one i’m used to so i’m not used to looking at the screen.
but other than that i’m superbly excited with my mac that i’m risking my back ache to play with it. I’m now sitting in a very stupid position in front of my mac and typing this out.
Ok i just lost my train of thought coz of jamie’s ideas for her wedding. Will concentrate on one thing at a time now.

Upsetting July 19, 2007
I actually wanted to start writing about my bday weekend (it’s nearly a week since the celebrations) but I got pretty upset today. Actually, it’s coz of the plane crash in Sao Paolo. I normally am very disattached to crashes and stuff happening around the world, occasionally being interested only for the sake of being curious; but the plane crash in brasil suddenly jolt me and made me worried. Why right?
I know this sounds silly but I have a few frens staying in Sao Paolo right now and they live in the city centre. Sigh. So i quickly messaged two of them (coz i know for certain the other one is now in Spain at the moment) to find out if they were ok. Somehow or rather, i just felt like one of them was connected to the crash and was very very worried.
Thank god this fear was of no grounds. I found out that, yes, one of them WAS connected to the crash! It was just coz he was working for the company whose plane crashed. AND he was ACTUALLY working in the building next to the crash! OMG!!!!! Two of his frens were in the next building and they were unfortunately killed in that incident.
i know it sounds bad, but i was soooo relieved to hear my fren was lucky enough not to be in that building. sigh. Tat’s why i’m pretty upset. I know life and death is inevitable, just that sometimes it hits pretty ‘close’ to u that it draws your attention to the fact that life is so fragile.
And that is why we should enjoy our life to the fullest.

Ok. This will not be as funny as compared to if you hear it first hand from me (or the victim, Ron). Mwahahaha
Anyway, 98.7fm’s "Muttons in the Morning" has this segment where you need to prank call your fren (DIY style) and if you do it successfully, you will win a free phone. I’ve been listening to it for some time now and thought how fun it would be to prank call Ron and even better to win a phone lah. hahha.. So i was just waiting for the moment.
Over the weekend, Ron got his official first pay cheque and was very happy about it. Treated me to a great German lunch and all lah. Yum yum! At the end of the day (like we do most of the time), we calculate our expenses just to ensure that everything is in order.
So anyway, he passed me his atm card to go withdraw some money to put into my account to do some internet banking and all lah. It so happen, this morning, on the way to work, the Muttons called for anyone interested to prank their frens to sms in. First time i hear the call for SMS wor, so i decided, ok, today i shall try to ‘mutton’ Ron by telling him that all his hard earned cash somehow was gone.
Wah, i got picked leh. They called me, we discussed strategy and soon i was on the air. They called Ron. Convo something like that lah (try to imagine me in my really desperate, angry voice)
Ron: Hello
Ming: Hello, where are u?
Ron: Still at home. Why?
Ming: U know u asked me to withdraw the money right?
Ron: Yea, why? (kancheong sounding a lil)
Ming: I wanna ask u ah, did u spend on anything that i didn’t know of over the weekend?

Actually it’s not just anybody.
It’s this STUPID IDIOTIC Half Bad Old Man with ugly face and a fat body who thinks he’s the smartest man on earth and who keeps asking stupid questions over and over again (adding in his OWN version of answers) and then demanding to know my full name ("It is my right to know your full name") and keeps on repeating "oh in your line must be patient". BULLL. I was sooo patient until i couldn’t tahan anymore but I was still patient. U wanna see impatient? Impatient is when i stand up from my chair, take my chopstick and pluck out watever hair that’s left on your bloody brainless head and make u eat it.
You better beware, coz IF i ever see you, u better hope and pray that there are no steps nearby (push u down, or up the steps for that matter), no drains nearby (feed u free longkang water), no roadside (and vehicles running at top speed) nearby (make u into prata), no floor nearby (use my newly found aikido skills), no grass nearby (feed u soil)…. Just better hope u’ll not see me on the streets coz i’ll be out of the office and in a very very very mad mad mood if i ever see your half balding, ugly and fat self on the streets. Dun think just coz they raised the CPF rate to a higher age means i’ll take pity on your pathetic self. I hope for your case, your CPF disappeared suddenly without u knowing it! I hope it is donated to some home where they will deserve it better than you!!!!!!!!

I am very sleepy now. Nearly couldn’t wake up. Was up last night til about 1am/2am staring at the little screen… of my NEW PHONE!!!! YEAY! It was a semi impulse buy lah. Starhub sent me a special 1 year upgrade voucher worth $200. I think it’s coz my hp bills every mth damn high lah, so they smart enough to sen me something before i go crazy with the bills. My pink phone was already giving me a lil trouble (yes, everytime wanna change phone, everything got trouble.. but this one is real trouble ok!), so i traded it in as well. Got $200 leh!!!!! not bad. So all in all, i had a value of $400 to play around with. Bought K810i (sticking to SE as much as possible, coz it’s much better than Nokia nowadays). Wah. Damn cool loh the function. I dunno if i’ll ever use all of the functions or remember them, but it’s cool to play around with it at least for the first time. hahha…
Ron showed me the Track ID software in the phone (which confirm plus guarantee will earn me another voucher coz i’ll be using that a lot). You know when u hear a song and u dunno the name and who sang it? Well, with Track ID, you just have to point the phone to the speakers and within 10-15 secs, it’ll tell u wat song and who sang it. how cool is that!!! Heh.
Now i just have to be really careful with the phone, as i try to with all the new phones i buy
Anyway, ermm…. at work now lah, but here’s some updates…. This year is full of weddings year. Attended at least 4-5 already, and at least 3 more is coming up. These 3 are esp important coz i’m the wedding planner (stress man!!!!!!) cum coordinator. Only hope i dun mess their wedding up. hahahaha…. SCARY…. Ermm.. July 13 is coming up. Waitin for that day, should be pretty fun but also a lil scary, seeing all the ‘threats’ and plans that my frens (and colleague) have for me. Sighz… Be prepared to DIE man.
What else, oh ya, gonna get free medication in 5-6 years (i know very long lah, but can wait) coz my cousin Matthew’s going to UKM to study medicine. How cute! AND i miss Faith who is currently now in China for a week. hehehe… we played a trick on her yesterday. Ron pretended to be someone else and asked her for her name and she gave it to him!!!!! Walau eh. So i grabbed the phone and told her she shd never reveal anything to strangers!!!!!
Going One Nite Stand (finally) tomorrow to see wat the ‘hype’ is about. Somore free tics, so can’t wait!!!!!!! Gotta miss Aikido. Sighz. I love it but wat to do, no choice lah. Already cancelled on the place once liao and they were nice enough to gimme the extension, so gotta go lah….

Going Crazy June 7, 2007
Yes. I’m going crazy with my work. May was a supra busy period, thanks to the UNSW closure. It is UNSW’s fault and yet the 3 local unis were to be the ones to pick up their s***. We had to go to their campus EVERYDAY from 2pm to 8pm to answer queries from worried students and some concerned parents about whether or not they will be able to come study here. Sighz. The most poor thing ones i feel are the students lah. Sighz. So many i talk to are so disillusioned. I feel sorry for them. But some were still a lil happy go lucky (maybe resigned to it lah) and i made frens with quite a few students who would pop in to say hi, chit chat, and tell me juicy stuff. OoOooOoo. Shall not post them here but it has all to do with the closure and stuff lah. hahhaha… Such is the benefit of looking like one of the students, they tend to be more frenly. (yes yes, i praising myself but i have all the rights to coz i always get the "are u 19" question. yes yes, dun kill me now)
Anyway, to reiterate why i’m going crazy… I now work in a space where i need to open the lock to the door for ppl to enter and exit my office. the button is located next to my right leg, which now i conveniently have trained myself to just automatically open the door with my right leg while continuing with my typing and stuff. Ok, so wat happened was, i was talking on the phone with this enquirer. Quite long lah. I use those headsets (very cool looking ones) and so when i talk on the phone i become a lil mor relaxed (or more irritated depending on the direction of the conversation). So anyway, when I said goodbye, i automatically pressed the button. Felt quite embarassed loh, hahaha, but thought it was hilarious. quickly msn’d my colleagues about this. Guess wat? a second phone call came in. This time, i told myself, NO pressing on the button. But haiyah, my reflex action for that kicked in and i opened the door again. Die man. nowadays, whenever i see anyone or hear anything approaching the door, i open it automatically. Ppl now think i’ve got oompa loompas working under my table coz i do it so naturally even. LOL. I guess that’s why the button is now falling apart coz i’ve pressed it toooo many times!!!! :-p
My body is aching today. I didn’t think it would coz i didn’t seem to be doing much yesterday but it is hurting. Sighz. The reason is coz i went for my first class in Aikido yesterday. FINALLY. after all these years of talking about wanting to do some self defense class, i finally got my butt up and did it. it was interesting lah. i really liked that class. i learnt how to fall (correctly), how to dodge a punch and how to react if someone grabs my hand and refuses to let go. After the class, i was all excited loh, eyeing on anyone who might potentially want to whack me or pull my arms or anything. Alas, no one. hahaha.. so when i went to Ron’s shop, i asked him to grab my hand (but i showed him how he shd grab lah– which of coz he commented when someone grabs me how can i instruct the attacker on how to grab me). This ron ah, never give face! I tried my counter-attack on him then he counter-counter grab me! WALAU EH. So bad loh. Luckily it’s just first lesson and i also din wanna hurt his shoulder too much (which i did the first time– so at least i succeeded ONCE)

Oh ya, Yoon (my korean fren) is getting married! Yeay! Means another wedding trip. hehehe… Wah, i’m going international for all my wedding invitations. How fun! I can’t wait for Silvia & Marco’s, then can go back to Italy hahaha, or even Yu’s– then can go back Belgium. LOL
It is the GREAT SINGAPORE SALE! Woohoo! Going on my ‘yearly pilgrimage’ on monday. Took a whole day off to go GSS shopping. Woohoo! Can’t wait to shop man. Monday shd be much quieter so hopefully i dun have to fight the aunties and the ah ims for the changing rooms. i’ve already had my whole shopping trip mapped out with the Must Gos and the In Case Got Time. I’ve put on 3 kg within these 2 weeks, but i think on Monday, with all that ‘exercise’ and the lack of time to eat, i surely lose weight one. I just hope i dun feel bloated that day, if not i surely cannot buy anything one. Sighz. Keeping ALL my fingers and toes crossed

Ya ya, no one wants to hear about poor me being sick again. Sighz. But really, after recovering from a month’s long cough, then the headache for a week, i thought all was well, then, WALAU, fever+cough+blocked nose. To think i was looking forward to yet another MOS night out. Looks like gotta shelf it til next week (or next mth if follows the trend of the cough). Thank god my fever has subsided and now that’s left is my irritating blocked nose and cough. Can u imagine i actually slept from 10pm (Tuesday night) to 6pm (Wed)!!!!! Yes, i guess u can. hahaha.. Ron says that I’m born to sleep, that usually when ppl threaten him that they’re going to sleep he won’t believe them; but if i do, then he will believe coz i have this ability to really just fall asleep. I din think that i was such a sleeper actually. I din even realise til he mentioned it the other day. Hahaha… but maybe that’s where all my energy comes from during the nights where i dun sleep–all kept inside me to be used up.
Ok anyway, where did i stop last time. long long time liao hor. i even forgot wat i initially composed. Sighz. NVM. Lemme think…
Oh ya. This past Monday was Uncle Woon’s bday. We met him, Aunt Teng2 & my three lil (ok lah, not so lil anymore) cousins for the Kublai Khan Mongolian buffet. Not too bad lah. $30 for each pax, the standard eat all u can, but wat i loved was the way they cooked the BBQ food on top of this LARGE round pan (yes, call me suaku, but when the kids were like "WOW"-ing, so was I! hahaha). Loved the chocolate fondue as well. The rest of the food, were, well, ok lah. Wat else would u expect out of a buffet right…
Speaking of the fondue, there was this B&#*$ who thought she was damn beautiful and elegant and stuff. She was with this guy at this table. She went to the fondue pot, took one of the satay sticks, poked it into the strawberry and ate it. Usually, you’d think that ppl with common sense would change the stick right? Especially after she put the whole tip of the stick into her mouth! NO WAY!!! she continued poking and eating and after a while, she happily walked around the buffet line, the stick in her mouth, and then back to the fondue. Imagine my horror!!!! Our whole table started bitching about her. Even my cousins knew not to do it! What kinda mentality this woman has been brought up, i also dunno lah!!!!! Ok, so we made sooo much noise, i even purposely said it loud enough for the guy to hear, but i guess since she was his date, he wun dare say anything. The waiters heard about it and started staring at her as well, but she was oblivious to her surroundings, just carried on as if she’s the beauty queen of fondue!
So when she finally returned to her table, the waiters acted really quickly (this i gotta give the place credit–wonderful service). While they were cleaning the pot and replenishing the chocolate, my cousins and i quickly went over there (talk about kiasu-ism) to wait for the pot. The lady also came along and i said really really loudly to my cousins, "we wait for the new one ok, the old one has SOMEONE’s saliva on it". She never did touch the fondue again. Mwahahaha.. Yes, i know i’m evil, but she’s really stupid!
Anyway, away from that topic, that evening, my aunt cracked a joke unknowingly. We were talking about Hossan Leong and Singaporean comedians (dunno how that came up). Anyway, she said "Hossan Leong’s very quiet". I said he’s not (coz i managed to work with him about 3 times previously). He’s actually somewhat like wat u see on stage. And quite a nice chap. Then my aunt said, the last time she met him and the gang (dun ask me who, this is not important), they were all very quiet. I said, couldn’t be leh… then u know wat my aunt said?…………………………………………………………………

Young People Stroke April 27, 2007
Ok… Very Very weird. Now, i’ve been having that hammering headache for days now. In fact, i switched from Panadol Extra, to Panadol Extra (4 tablets) and then to Anarex. Still no cure!
During lunch time, my head was beginning to hurt again, so when i found out my colleague was going to see doctor, i went with her lah. Kepo kepo, to get my meds and also to grab some fresh air and lunch lah.
Went in to see the doc (pretty young man lah) and told him of my problem. First reaction from him was to double confirm wat i’ve told him. Second reaction- scratch head. Third reaction- shake head. He said he din like the sound of my headache and went on to explain all the different headache terms and stuff. He said the hammering pain at the back of the neck is very uncommon. Then the bomb: "You may be at risk of a Young People Stroke". Thanks, doc! That really helps. He went on to say "My fren, a gal, is a survivor of the stroke. Only 20% survives this stroke" WOW, that helps a lot too!!!! U can imagine i quite shocked lah. I’ve been put on a 24 hour alert list and if anything happens between now and then, i have to rush to A&E to get my head scanned. WAH. Sounds serious right?
You know wat’s the best part? My colleagues all think he’s cuckoo. Not cuckoo as in mental, but as in dunno how to treat patients. Example: One colleague visited him coz she was sick, he said she may be pregnant. (maybe that example not too good lah, coz docs sometimes just speculate until the truth). Another example: another colleague saw him for a cut and he made it seem like she had to go for an op on that small cut on her hand!!!!! WAH.
So for now, i’ll still be enjoying myself, be it Young People Stroke or not. In fact, i shd be enjoying more. Just in case. Hehehe… Already discussed with Cindy on the guest list, party booze, party songs and my mani pedi stuff just in case there’s my funeral. :-p
Incidentally ah, today is very weird. Last night i did think about death and all. Lying in my bed at night trying to sleep while watching "Gridiron Gang" (which is damn touching, btw) and then "The inconvenient truth" (That put me to sleep eventually)… then today, the doc tells me that. Another weird thing was, i woke up this morning and suddenly i thought about a long long long lost fren of mine, David. Yes, David. I also dunno why suddenly like that. I told my self i gotta find his frenster and add him. When i logged into frenster, i had "one new fren request" and guess who it was?!?!?!?! YES. DAVID. WAH. Maybe i shd buy 4D…
Or Maybe it’s one of those "know u’re gonna die so everything seems surreal and u wanna reach out to all your frens and family and loved ones" kinda scenario. U know… like how i shd go around telling everyone I love them, just in case my stroke really happened.
If and only if lah, just in case i didn’t say this in time lah, to you, yes you, you know who you are lah, Thank You. I’ve always cherished you, always have always will. Thanks for being in my life. Thanks for being there for me, for tahan-ing my craziness, and sometimes even taking part in it. Thanks for just being you and adding life to my sometimes mundane life. LOVE U. Sighz… i’ve been experiencing a stupid headache since yesterday. At every 3 sec interval, i will feel pain at the back of my head, as tho someone took a hammer and hit it on my head. Had that the whole day!!!! URGH. Then, in the evening after dinner, at Shop & Save (while buying my supply of Ice Mountain–i dun boil water at home, heh–italian way) i had a very very bad tummy gastric dunno wat ache! ARGH.
Then it happened again today just before i went for lunch. ARGH. Hammer in my head hammer in my head. After food, tummy gastricy thingy pain. WHAT IS THE MATTER?!??! Wat’s worst, had the WORST possible kimchi soup for lunch, so now feeling very hungry. Luckily upstairs there’s some scholar program talk going on so there’s food. Yum Yum. Waiting for my sandwich fruit tarts to arrive. Yum Yum
Can’t wait to go home. My head and tummy is getting on my nerves!!!!!

Sighz. I am SO bored. The hammer finally stopped. I think renovation is done. heh. Let’s hope it stays that way. Another 45 mins to end of work. i’ve cleared the admissions mailbox. Can’t wait to go home n fall asleep. Actually, can’t wait for Friday. hahahaha… MOS MOS MOS…

Wah. I was supposed to post this sometimes back abt Ashley’s bday… Now dunno if i can remember wat i wanted to say or not. hahaha…
Ok. Let’s start with Sat afternoon. After convincing Ashley that the photoshoot was NOT a joke, she
{….. A LONG PAUSE from this blog entry coz Aileen came to visit me at work, then Ron. Wah, today is visit "Ming at Work coz She’s Bored day"… Btw, Aileen stayed for about 2.5hours and by that time i needed to clear my remaining work and go home. hahaha. Again, I’m hping my colleagues who may be reading this won’t ‘pao-to’ =p }
Back to the story. Spent 2 hours doing up Ashley’s hair with the egg white. Nearly made me puke each time i reach my hand into that gooey stuff. YUCKS. The smell was TERRIBLE. Luckily i still had my slight blocked nose. Eeee. Now i understand the trouble the punks have to go thru each morning to style their hair. Poor things!
Anyway, the photoshoot went pretty ok lah. By the 2nd t-shirt tho, we had to touch up on the hair coz ashley’s hair was SO long and the t-shirts were pretty small. hahaha… By the 3rd t-shirt, i gave up on her hair. Too limp! LOL. Will post pics here (as soon as i get clearance from her– she’ll kill me if this ruins her future to get married!!!! hahaha)
by the time we were done, it was around 5pm (so much for an estimated 1hour photoshoot– we took more than 4 hours!). Gobbled my breakfast and lunch and then parted ways with ashley coz she had to go prim and proper herself for the night. Called her on her way back home (only the gals that night would know the reason i called). I didn’t know it was SO tough!!!! (again, only the gals will know, or some others if i told u, or if u wanna know, ask!)
Picked up Chin2 and Sylvia at their place before heading down to No Signboard for dinner. Walau eh, the cab driver’s music nearly put me to sleep. Wat wasn’t helping was the traffic! I was soooooo tempted to just get off and walked… anything away from the midi sounding sentimental classical music! Ok. Dinner was pretty ok. I was still full with the food from the afternoon so i had very little to eat. The chilli crab was good tho. I wish i had more space in my tummy. The whole time for dinner, Chin2 was very quiet… when asked why, she said she was just wondering how to carry ashley back home later on once she has been dosed up with plenty of drinks. hahaha. Ashley sommore not afraid, whole night kacau chin2!!!!! Ppl nowadays have no fear of wat is to come!
Finally on to St James. They booked a room in Mono- the Karaoke. Fun! First bottle they opened was Johnnie Walker. Walau eh, chin2 kept replenishing the drinks! Even my MC couldn’t save me– they have no sympathy for the sick! So i thought if i can’t beat them, i’ll join them in making ashley drunk. i think my tummy was mostly full of green tea that night. hahaha… Then had Hennesy. Actually it is quite nice. not like wat i’d imagine it to be. i think they improved on the taste or something. (i’m no alcohol connoseur or however u spell it). hmm… by then quite high (no dinner in tummy remember!). Went out for a walk with ashley and gavin and got another drink coz gavin thought his frens were inside tiger live, so we had to pay for entrance, sekali they were outside, so we just had vodka orange loh.
by the time we got back to the room, with all the walking and drinking and *#&^%&^(#$ we were quite high. Ashley was drunk. hahaha.. SHE WAS DRUNK. So funny. She slept at the top of the sofa and then rolled to the floor. She had peanuts and ice thrown all over her (Mono staff must be cursing!) and she was violently sitting on everyone.
BREAK: I forgot when some sleazy drunk guy came in and tried molesting gavin, but that guy was disgusting! got the Mono staff to throw him out. YUCKS.
Went over to (can’t remember the name now- short term memory– Chin2 says it starts with C… She thinks it’s Charlotte. heh. so cute lah this ketua pengawas) to dance, actually more like see how ashley acted. hahaha. she kept toppling over. Finally ended the night when we couldn’t take it anymore! It was really realy fun lah. I still dun enjoy st james but the company was fantastic. Thumbs up to Chin2 the gal who loses her bearing on the roads but not her bearing for fun!
U know wat! The next day, Ashley msgd us. So hilarious. She had gone off straight to bed (too drunk to care) and the next morning, she wanted to change, she took off her top and all the peanuts fell onto the floor! HAHAHA. She asked who the culprit was, and Sylvia admitted to it. Chin2 sillyly admitted that she din throw the peanuts but the ice. DAMN! She could’ve gotten away with it coz Ashley din remember the ice!!!!! Hahaha….

Another club… FAT CLUB. yes. I think i’m about to join the "Fat Fighter’s Club" (Watch Little Britain and u’ll know wat i’m talking about). URGH. Everyday it’s snack snack snack in the office. Never snacked so much in my entire working life. I’m on the brink of becoming fatter than i already am. HOW CAN!?!?!?! Already i’m sitted the whole day. DIE. Now i’m not only gonna get a fat ass, but a fat everything! ARGH. Must….Resist….Temptation!!!!!!!

Jayne Fan Club:: One last thing that happened yesterday that i just HAD to mention.
Background: Rawn and my littlest (actually youngest coz she’s not the smallest in size) cousin Jayne (9 years old) have this love hate relationship going on. Jayne loves to hate Rawn. hahaha. He always disturbs her but they’re like buddies lah. It’s amazing sometimes to watch them coz he’s so huge and she’s so tinyly big. Jayne has this amazing ability to be funny even when she doesn’t try too hard
Ok anyway, last week, Faith (Jayne’s 2nd elder sis, 11 years old) needed to do a t-shirt design for her school’s competition and sought help from everyone. They were thinking of what to draw and we were just throwing out ideas and all. I suggested a symbolic animal (yea yea, boring i know…) and they said draw a monkey. Jayne said, draw a monkey and put rawn’s face on it coz he acts like one. hahha. Then Rawn retaliated and said, it’s easier to draw Jayne- just draw a circle. HAHAHA. Jayne was like stumped!
Yesterday, i was talking to Jayne on msn and she was using the Handwriting function. She drew a circle and asked me, is this wat rawn said looked like her. I couldn’t stop laughing. This gal can surely laugh at herself! It’s damn funny. I printed it out and i’m gonna show it to my family.
As you can tell, i’m totally in love with Jayne. hahaha. Yes, she’s my cousin and all, but i think she’s such a smart and humorous kid. I hope she grows up to be a comedian (or in Rawn’s words, like Selina; or i think like Margaret Cho. hahaha… All the sizes fit!)

OK. Usually don’t share this (coz it’s a well known fact that i’m not the most demure gal on earth) but I think POOR RAWN. Hahaha… Yesterday was so damn funny that as I am typing this now i am laughing so hard to myself that i think the ppl looking into my office (i’m working in a fish tank– NOT at Geylang!!!!!!!!! At SMU also got fish tank– the most irritating place to work in coz got irritatingly stupid ppl– ok back to the story)..
Anyway, i dunno how it started lah.. but he was standing behind me while i was on my lappy on the bed (i think he came in to grab something) and he decided to creep up on me. Quick reflex action from me and i kicked his face! Ahahahaha!!!!!! DAMN FUNNY. But serves him right lah. hahahaha… OK tat wasn’t the end… later in the night, dunno wat happened lah, i accidentally poked his eyes with my finger. Wah, that has got to hurt even more than the kick (at least the kick he will only get pimples!). Hahaha.. Poor darling… dunno vision from then on deprove or not.. hahaha.. If he starts looking at ugly gals, then i’ll know…
Anyway, spent these two nights watching RENTED DVDs. Sighz. The good part is I got to catch some pretty good TV shows. Cannot explain wat this is about on the net lah, but i think many of my singaporean frens may know wat i’m talking about. So managed to catch America’s Next Top Model, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Amazing Race, ermm… can’t remember anything else… oh ya, rented "A night at the museum"- damn funny. The first show i haven’t fallen asleep watching in a long long while. It’s not that the other shows are bad, they just din have the power to hold my attention and make me stay awake. Protege seemed like a good show, but i fell asleep on that. hahaha… now considering renting DVDs from Hollywood clicks to tide me over for the time being.
Work is getting on my nerves at times. Sighz. bitch bitch bitch time. Ppl are calling non-stop. Mainly from very kancheong ppl who thinks that after the closing date, SMU decides to dump all their records into the bin and not follow up. I’ve got parents calling for their kids to find out where and when the interviews will be (some even following these kids to the interview! Come on, they’re old enough!!!!!!!!!!)… and thn recently, been getting parents calling up every possible numbers in SMU because they couldn’t get thru our 5 lines. Come on lah, for every call, there is another 3-4 more on the call waiting. Of coz we can’t answer your call right! Walau eh. Today i used the headset again so that i can answer the calls when i’m typing important stuff like this blog. LOL. Multi tasker mah (my colleague who may read this, keep it to yourself. hahaha). But each time the phone rings and i wanna place the headset properly into my ear, they stop ringing when i’m done placing it! ARGH. These ppl will be the death of me!
But working here not bad lah. Pantry is always full of snacks and food, shops around SMU selling food. Sighz… I’m gonna grow fat. The only form of exercise i get while working here is the constant run to the toilet. hahaha… sometimes sitting here, i forget i need the toilet until someone reminds me by exiting the door, then i suddenly remembered that i need to pee badly and make the rush for the toilet. SIghz. bad for health i know, wat to do. Ok, stop being disgusting now
Read some random ppl’s blog today. Lately have this habit of being voyeuristic in terms of reading other ppl’s blogs. somehow knowing something about someone else’s life can be quite interesting sometimes… eventho u’ve never met the person… u start to imagine how their life is, who they are in real life, and wat their frens might say, blah blah blah, all thru their blogs. hahaha… oh no! i think i’m going insane.
Tonite i better start working on the rest of the Keep It Like A Secret stuff or it’ll drag on even longer. Sighz. BETTER loh. Also will start posting Ashley’s pic soon with her hair (that took 2 hours to style and fell flat after the first 2 change of clothes). That was fun, sticking your hand into the gooey egg white (nearly puked), putting it on your fren’s head and blow drying it to keep the hair standing.
Oh ya. Will post about that and about Ashley’s bday party tomorrow lah. I’m left with 20 mins and i just realised suddenly hace 10 emails to answer. No swet lah, chicken feet.
Hopefully i’ll get to eat my subway today. Yum yum. And i’ll try to be gentler to Rawn today. HAHAHA… I dun think i wanna end up with a guy that is blind and full of pimples on his face.
This week April 11, 2007
This past week has been crazy. I’ve been sick. YUCKS. Forgotten how it’s like to be that sick. Started with a sore throat that i thought was just coz i had KFC the night before. Then was slightly feverish, so took MC (also good lah, relax a lil) and slept almost the whole day. The sore throat seem to grow from a small ping pong ball to a huge basketball and i found it really painful to talk (and the world was peaceful for a while). then now it ended with flu and cough! ARGH. The cough is very very irritating!!!!!!! I hope it goes away soon. I missed out on going out to club coz of the bloody cough. Sighz. Can’t wait for Sat.
Anyway, wat’s with parents nowadays. What’s with kids also! HmpH! They either can’t read or refuse to do so. I think this job i’m in has exposed me to the really ugly side of Singaporeans. The stupid and ugly side. Singaporeans are brought up with the "I can get things my way by complaining" mentality, which is bloody bad!!! How can we expect the young to grow up into courteous and nice ppl when their parents are bloody idiots with a bad attitude!!!!!!!! Yet, there are a handful of really really sweet ppl when u least expect it. Shall stop here. Dun wanna lose my job by going on.
Anyway, looking at the bright side of things… met up with Roger and his new SPG (hahaha.. sorry, Roger) on Sunday and went to the pasar malam in Bedok. The guys got into a little friendly competition over the air gun thingy.. u noe the one where they shoot the duck and if it falls u get the prize that u shot???? In the end, guess wat? Roger won a remote control helicopter! WAH. Amazing. Now ron’s pissed coz that’s yet another thing the British has won over the Singaporean. Hahahaha
Am really excited over the new designs that KILAS has produced. Really looking forward to putting it up on the internet and pushing for sales to go thru. keeping all fingers and toes crossed. Keep a watch on this space ok!
Hmm… wat else ah… yesterday was a pretty good day. Watched the movie "300". really really enjoyed it. Besides the fact that the Spartans were all soooooo well built and only wore their underwears (hahah, tat’s not why i enjoyed the show lah, but it’s a plus point), but the way they filmed and produced the show, and their fight scenes were sooooo good! OoOOoOoo….
Ok. Going off now. have to get back to work and back to chtting on the webmsn (which is super sucky!!!) need to figure out a way to get my real msn working again. GRRRRRR
Japanese Curry March 29, 2007
Something happened these few days at home to make me ponder about life again. Yes, to those who knows, everything is pretty well now, life should be back on track. To those who don’t, well, it’s blown over now so we’ll just leave it as that.
Had the sudden urge to eat Jap curry today. Dragged 3 part timers with me (one of them my niece) to Ajisen Restaurant and had their Chicken Cutlet Omu Curry Rice. Not too bad. Eat until SOOOO full. Still went on to dessert. Glad i shared with my niece the dessert coz i had 3 bites and that was that.
I’m quite tired these few days. Haven’t been sleeping well. Tried sleeping really early yesterday. I think i must’ve comatosed coz i remembered watching (or trying to watch rather) Child’s Play and then waking up to the blank TV, turning it off and then faling back to sleep. Aaaahh…. finally last night get to sleep. but still very tired out of the ‘excitement’ this week brought. Oh well…
Oh ya. Another exciting thing happening. i have FINALLY decided to do my freelance wedding planner thing. hahaha… yes yes, i am so unfocused. I’ve got so many things going on now but yet i wanna add in another. the good part about this is i’m doing it part time (which this new position gives me time for) and so overhead costs is low and even if i float around without getting any wedding jobs at the moment, i am fine. Will start out really small and hopefully see this grow. Keeping my fingers crossed. So if u know anyone who’s getting married and want to hire a coordinator; and dun mind someone doing it freelance (but i’m confident i’ll do a good job! hahaha), then pls pls pls recommend me! hehe. I won’t let you (or your frens) down lah. :-p
That being said, really looking forward to Lynette’s wedding. Wah, this one has been talked about for so long!!! Really can’t wait to get started helping her with her stuff. And of coz, my dear fren Jamie’s wedding. Wah, fast romance, fast love, fast marriage. So happy that she is FINALLY settling down with someone she really loves. Next year, Audrey’s turn. my dearest sampat is getting married (tear in eyes- this is a happy tear ok!). Wah. OK Stop wondering about mine ok! It is still a LONG LONG time!!!!!!!!!!

Dion & Swan, Swan & Dion March 25, 2007
Sighz… 2 days after Dion & Swan’s SG Wedding. They’re off to my FAVOURITE country in the world– ITALY!!! Ack. So envious. well well..
Anyway, quite tired out this Monday. Reached home at around 2am on Sat, then on Sunday sommore rushed into JB. but am glad i did that lah, din see my family for about 2-3 weeks liao. won’t be seeing this this coming weekend as well. So it’s worth the rush and tiredness..
Ok. So the wedding. KL first. KL was pretty fun. It was SO nice of the couple to sponsor our bus ride and hotel stay! Made new and really fun frens in Cindy, Wati, Alvin & Marcus– went to zouk with them as well. WE even checked out Poppy Garden, which was a really cool place to be, eventho it was sooo freaking hot! ARGH. Ok. So the wedding. It was held at Bukit Jalil. Went ok lah, sommore had 3 types of performances. The shiong ti all din go, so it was up to the jie mei to go around with them to yum seng. so funny. first time doing that. but quite fun lah. the wine was fantastic, so after all the stressful coordination, we just drank and drank. hehehe. erm… basically, shopped a lot, i think i spent around RM1000 in that weekend! Bought quite a lot of stuff and even had my nails done by the sweetest guy (he’s gay btw)
Ok. SG Wedding. Now, THAT was the highlight. Plans for the ‘fetch the bride’ stages were only done the week itself but thanks to the ingeniouity (sp) of the jie meis, we came up with a sure-fire way of making the day fun while getting our huge angbao. Will tell u more now (some stuff kopi-righted, please use as much as possible on future grooms).
When we checked in, we refused to let Dion or any of the guys know wat room Swan was in. Mwahahaha.. Even went to the extend of blindfolding the cameramen (which, in respect to CIndy, i shall leave it as it is. hahaha) We had 3 stages (since we did it in Hilton, this was a good strategy).
Stage 1: Hotel Lobby (which by the way, we kept getting chased by the security coz of the noise we made. Lousy hotel!). Dion had to answer two questions pertaining to Swan. Get it wrong, do a forfeit (which by the way, ALL the answers were wrong throughout ALL the stages). So first forfeit, pluck 8 hairs from 8 different places of the body. Hahaha.. They of coz went for the easiest spots first- the eyebrows, the hands, the legs, the fingers. then at the last two stage- stumped! Dunno where to pluck. Attempted plucking from nose, ears, chin. hahaha. in the end, someone even took off their socks so can pluck the toe hair. hahaha. (Pics to come- exceeded number of uploaded pics for this mth liao). Second forfeit, carry dion and run around the lobby shouting "Dion’s getting married! Dion’s getting married!" and Dion must shout "Yes yes yes!" (which in the end, they had to whisper so that we dun get chased again)
Ok. Done. All in the lift now. Onto Stage 2. Outside the suite. 3 questions + 1 immunity challenge (which by the way, it was just to make him do it. the immunity challenge doesn’t immune him from anything. mwahahaha) This is the eating stage. "Suan", "Tian", "Ku", "La". For Suan (Sour), they had to eat a whole lemon (btw, i just need to give Dion a GREAT BIG PAT on the back- he took the task and just did it. FANTASTIC. Almost too boring, but good! hahha). For Tian, they had to eat a piece of bread covered with 2 packets of sugar and 1 mini bottle of honey. For Ku, they had to eat a fifth of the Bitter Gourd that we prepared. For La, we specially concocted a jalapeno pepper + Wasabi + Mustard on Dry Bread. Hahaha.
Stage 3: In the suite, but outside the final door. So. This one simple and straightforward. 1) One of the shiong ti to pretend to be the pole while Dion does the pole dance around him (can’t get the image outta my head! Too funny!). 2) One of the shiong ti to pretend to be swan while dion sings ‘her’ a song (which by the way was ‘Yue Liang Tai Piao We De Xing".
FINALLY, Ang pao time. Wah. Dion very generous. He got in with $900 (supposed to be $888 lah- keep the change). Finally it was on to the rest of the day. Or so we thought. FIrst time in history!!! We reached Dion’s place and were locked out of the house!!!! Stupid shiong tis made Swan answer 3 questions or do the forfeit (which she got it all wrong btw). They tried their very best to do the suan tian ku la (left out the suan tho). They stole our bitter gourd and made us eat (which Cindy bravely did it), made some maggi mee concoction thing to represent spicy (i drank lah), then some kueh with a pot of honey (which they stole as well from us!) which audrey and a few others ate. hahaha. Ok. So on to the day. After tea reception, took a few pics at Esplanade and ended up taking a few pics at SMU, the place they met… blah blah blah. Rested in the hotel (so nice to bath and just relax in the bathrobe). At night, dinner went really well. Dion read some love letter to Swan tat was Oh-So-Touching! at the end of it all, both of them were pretty high. I think Dion was even more stoned than he ever was. hahaha.. Swan was like just high and very tired. So we put her to bed and got Dion into the shower. As we were leaving, we said our gooodbyes and knocked on the bathroom door but dion din reply; PANIC struck– we thought he had fainted or fell asleep or wat… got the captain to open the door and when all jie meis had cleared the space, the shiong tis "chiong" into, only to be welcomed by Dion bathing! hahahahahaha… TAT was funny! Laughed until cannot laugh liao. I bet the shiong tis had nightmare that night! hahaha…
Well.. this is the start of many more weddings this year. a few of them in which i have the ‘honour’ of being the jie mei again. hahaha.. to the guys that are reading this and i’m the jiemei for your wedding, fret not, coz the above is just the beginning and it will not be as simple as that. mwahahaha.. Frigtened? U can start by bribing me now…. and then, maybe, just maybe. it wun be that bad…

Yes. That was the thing that was happening. Swan’s surprise bachellorette party! Whew. It’s all done and over and we had SO much fun. Cannot reveal much lah, but wat i can reveal is this…
The plan was to book a suite in Gallery Hotel where we could have chocolate fondue, do our nails and makeup, and then to take her to paint the town red (in this case, only paint MOS red lah). Cherie was in charge of the room, deco, and making up Swan. Audrey was in charge of food and wine. Wati was in charge of the gifts. I was in charge of luring the ‘victim’. Mwahahaha. Ok. Plan in place. forgot a few things on that day, but in the end, come to think of it, luckily din buy also, coz wun be used. hehehe.
Cherie’s fren was so sweet in helping us with the suite. It even came with complimentary drinks in the fridge and he even bought ice cream and cake! Wow. Nice guy!
Ok. Anyway. Was supposed to zip to the hotel straight after work to drop off Swan’s clothes (Dion helped us sneak her clothes out- so cute right!) and then go meet her around 7pm. She was late! Not her fault lah, we kinda were prepared to expect the worst… Anyway, she called (we were panicky that she might cancel) and i INSISTED to meet her coz need her opinion on something ‘very important’ for the video montage. Finally met her for dinner around 8plus. eat talk eat talk. she was still oblivious and in the dark. We took a walk to Gallery hotel coz i had a ‘fren’ staying there and i left my lappy with ‘him’. We rang the bell and the 3 gals, being too eager, opened the door and threw the rose petals OUT of the room and unto us. HAHAHA… She got such a shock!!!! Well, the rest of the evening was giving her the pressies (beautiful gift, Wati!) eating the YUMMY choc stuff that Audrey prepared (my mouth still watering thinkin of it), getting prepared for MOS (all the handiwork of the talented Cherie), giving Swan her tasks to do for the night and just laughing and laughing and laughing even harder. We finally made it to MOS at around 12+ (i think lah- today memory damn slow).
Swan proceeded with her tasks. MADE ME PROUD!!!!!! I was so scared the tasks was too tough for her, but she really proved me wrong! I was laughing all the way!!!!!! It was a fantastic night!
We dropped her back to the hotel with the last surprise- Mr Tan! Hehehe.. She thought she was gonna spend the night sleepless in the hotel with us. She was WRONG! LOL
All in all, it was a really good surprise. If you’re one of the gals getting married and think that u’ll be able to sniff YOUR surprise party, u’re wrong. hehehe… Watch out for yours. It’ll be as crazy.
By the way, my galfrens warned me NOT to get married, or I will die a dreadful ‘death’ coz of all the payback they will do to me. LOL. And for my bday, u wun find me one mth before and one mth after coz i’ll be hiding thanks to audrey and her need to payback for her bday tasks. :-p
Of Mahjong Tiles and Mandarin Classes February 28, 2007
Sigh. Am at work now. 4:30pm. Just completed clearing the 100+ emails that came in. Now resting for a while before I go downstairs to clear the mails that are piling up. In case you din know, i’m now a receptionist. Yes yes yes. My new job is being a receptionist. LOL. ARGH. Irritating ppl asking irritating questions that could’ve been easily answered IF they only read the website!!!!!!! NVM. Sometimes i find it so nice to have the power to tell ppl that they are NOT qualified to be in SMU. How evil that is. But I LIKE. Coz these are the ppl who think taking short cuts and all will land them in SMU. Think again man. And then there are ppl who think just coz they have straight As in their results, they can be ya ya papaya and ask for a straight admission without taking part in the admissions exercise. MY FOOT. Many ppl get As!!!!
Ok. Enough whining about my ‘receptionist’ job.
Monday was BAD. My luck was BAD. Or shd i say, i din have enough luck. Chin2 said it was her first time playing mahjong seriously. Well, i shd know better than play with beginners, coz she really really has ALL the beginner’s luck. By the time we were halfway thru the game, i had become cursing her all the time. LOL. Not that i meant it lah. I was super frustrated with my cards tho. Walau eh… So many times i have half color or full color or waiting for one card, but our dear chin2 will game! URGH!!!!! Teach her how to play big cards, the next moment, she’s winning the maximum points! How can like that!!!!! Luckily Ron was the big winner so i paid Ron and ended up paying Chin2 10cents. LOL. Luckily i not that BIG a loser, coz Sylvia also lost almost as much. mwahahaha… Sighz. I really need to improve on my luck. Where was all the luck that was with me when i was playing BlackJack with my family! Walau eh!!!!!
Anyway, Ron, Sylvia and Chin2 now belongs to the ging gang gully gully gang. Who ask them to bully me during mahjong! HMPH
Tonite, i need to go for Mandarin Class. Sianz. Thinking about the Song Lao Shi makes me sleepy already. Sighz. Dunno why i convinced myself that this class was the best to go to. Maybe coz it was near SMU lah. MAYBE. but the class itself really very boring. By the first 15 mins of each class, i’m dozing off and seeing things on my book. ARGH. and the teacher’s english pronounciation sometimes make me wanna slap her. She pronounces Mouth as Mouse. How can right!?!?!
Hahaha.. But at least Sim aka Ashley is in the same class as me lah. So i can always disturb her. She used to be a lil more serious. Now i think she also cannot tahan liao and joins me in making fun of everything the teacher says and do, and everything that the teacher’s pet (this really old man) does. LOL. Today i brought my kit kat pencil that she bought for me (she was so complainy coz i din bring it– dun want it to spoil mah!!!!) Anyway, the kit kat pencil very cute leh. Sighz. I very heart ache to use it coz i so chor lor, sure sooner or later the small mock pink kit kat will break away from the pencil one loh. Sighz…
Anyway, i can’t wait for Friday. hehehe.. Something’s happening to someone but i can’t tell coz if i do, i’ll die a horrible death. MAYBE i’ll write about it AFTER it has happened. Which reminds me, i have to quickly rush out the photo montage i’m doing for Swan coz i’m meeting her before the something happens.
I AM SO BORED! I mean, i love where i’m working. Great ppl, Great Surroundings, very accessible and i love the campus (i try to walk thru it at least 3 times a week just to pretend i’m still studying there!). Loads of eye candy here as well. hahaha. and it’s not as rigid as i tot it to be. In fact, it is pretty fun other than the times where i have to answer the phone, email and walk in queries. hehehe…
Ok. i think i better end here. I think i better go get the mails or not i’ll forget again. Sighz. So lazy to walk but better walk lah, no good to keep sitting on my tummy the whole time.
A very serious post: A story about a Village Head Man February 14, 2007
(Wanted to post this earlier but then saved it as a draft coz din have time)
This post very serious ok. My personal experience so listen up. I think i just wanna bitch lah.
This is a story about a village chief, whose head was as bald as the bowling ball. Anyway, he is a fair and just guy, or so he says, and runs his village with an iron hand. He is teaches his villagers how to be better people and how they should respect one another and other non-villagers. Everyone was impressed with the village head and mostly everyone liked him.
So anyway, there was a new villager that was invited to stay in this village (Let’s call her X). The new villager soon brought in another villager (Y) to stay in the village.
Now… the chief was a very strict chief. He laid down a lot of rules, esp one that says a villager shdn’t fall in love with another villager. He tried to put on a fair front, but he always had this favourite villager (Z), who eventually fell in love with Y. The only thing is, they started ignoring all other villagers and got wrapped up in their own world. Other villagers (X included) started avoiding this couple.
Somehow or rather, the chief got worried about his village since he turned a blind eye to this rule of "not falling in love with another villager" and now the situation got worst. He needed someone to blame, so he decided to blame X (poor x!). He came up with multiple reasons on why X shouldn’t stay on in the village and in the end, X left.
The chief felt relieved. He thought that now, the village would be safe and happy again, since his beloved Y & Z are happy. But not for long, because X had a very good friend in the village, H. H was unhappy and depressed for a long time, not only because of wat was happening in the village.
Anyway, because the chief loved Y & Z a lot, he would listen to them a lot, even if it was nonsensical. In the end, he accused H of not being a friendly villager and asked her to buck up. The point is, Y & Z were the ones that ignored all other villagers and everyone could see that, but the chief was BLINDED. STUPID CHIEF.
So H decided to also leave the village. What happens next? I really dunno coz this story will not have an ending. It’s just my bitching that matters now. I guess X should be happy she left the village coz it was all bullshit anyway. Whatever the chief had preached he never did act on it. Yet he wants to be all righteous. Gimme a break! HMPH
On a separate note, Vday was GREAT! The next day was CRAP. =p

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
Wah, it’s been some time since i posted. good right? At least no bombarding of "Ming Ming has updated her blog" emails!
Love is truly in the air. After a LOUSY 13th Feb yesterday, i’m glad today things are much better.
First, my lament. Yesterday was TERRIBLE. As i was waking up in the morning, my air con died on me!!!! Wat is E4 I wonder?!?!?! URGH. THen i got a really itchy mosquitoe bite on my arm while getting ready for work. So itchy until now! I’m the kind that once the scars heal it’l leave an ugly brown mark. YUCKS. yet another dot in my life. THen at work, my outgoing phone calls got barred! Yes it did! I paid the wrong sum (looked at the wrong one) and i always have the habit of holding on til the last minute before paying. hahaha.. i guess i deserved it lah. then, i got really really really REALLY irritating calls from the most irritating ppl anyone can find! ARGH. And there were couple of weirdos who stepped in and started mumbling to themselves or do funny involuntary body actions. Sighz. By the time evening came, i was feeling very bitchy and kept snapping at Ron (poor thing also lah, hahahhaa)
Really couldn’t wait for the day to end. Last thing i did: Buy a new air con. ok lah, things will only get better lah.
Today. Woke up really happy coz it’s finally a new day. yesterday is OVER!!!! Woohoo!!!! First good news: FARID!!! Way to go man!!!!!! You got yourself one babe! hehehe. Yes, our dear dear fren Farid has finally gotten the courage to ask Manami to be his real valentine. So now he’s attached! GOOD FOR YOU. Next up, spoke to Yong Fatt- he and Yani getting a place and gonna ROM. GREAT!!!!!! Then, found out Joyce has msn so i can speak to her almost everyday! Coolest!!!!
Then then then, tonite!! My schedule packed until cannot pack. After work (which is 5 mins from now), i go to mandarin class (yawn!). After that Sim and i meeting Ron and Roger for supper before heading down for a gals’ night out on VDAY!!!! Woohoo!!!! Can’t wait man. I know tomorrow i’ll die, but we’ll let tomorrow handle itself! hehehe

The cousin that I never met before Sunday January 24, 2007
Wah, my legs are killing me and i feel very zombie-fied!!!! Why u may ask me? All Elaine’s fault lah! By the way, Elaine as in not-the-meng-li-my-breast-fren-Elaine, but my dad’s cousin’s daughter Elaine from Sandakan/ London/ New Zealand; that i’ve never met before this past Sunday.
My parents brought her dad and her in from JB to Singapore coz she had to do some visa thingy and that’s when i met her. Actually, din speak to her that much during lunch, but i somehow had this liking to her (hehehe) so i offered her my number in case she needed a guide and stuff. WAH. Who knows man, we spent all 3 nights of her stay together! LOL
First night: Night Safari- went with Roger, Ashley aka Sim, Chin2 and Ron. So there were 6 of us. So cool! It was a rush tho, coz Roger lah, eat so slow! By the time we got to the night safari, it was around 9.30pm liao! URGH. Anyway, had fun lah. The company’s always good. So happy that we managed to visit the night safari coz Elaine really wanted to see it.
Second night: Elaine’s dad treated us to such a sumptuous dinner!!!! I’ve never ever tasted sharks fin soup that good! The shark’s fin was like one whole chunk of meat! Oh my!!! Then there was the Peking Duck, Roast Chickin, Scallop with broccoli, some funny looking prawn thingy that’s called “Lai liu ha” (literal translation means lao jio prawn/ accidentally peeing prawn), ermm.. wat else ah… oh yea, dessert, mm mm mm!!!!!! I had the pear with ginseng and honey. Mm mm mm!!!!! After that, we went for a walk, played pools and then to another kind of Night Safari. hahahaha.. Shall stop here. Too much info. Let’s just say, it’s off the beaten track and tourists will not find it in their guide books. LOL
Third night: Lady’s night out! Woohoo!!!! Met Elaine and her fren Melissa; and Audrey, Haniz & Wanru, and went to O Bar and MOS. i felt so safe coz got a future doctor (Elaine) and a nurse in training (Melissa)! hahahha… We each had 3 shots of tequila, then a couple more drinks before deciding we were high enough to hit MOS. Woohoo!!! It was quite an interesting night, but i think my bones are getting too brittle! I kep getting cramps on my hips. ARGH! halfway dance, cramp, halfway dance, cramp!
Today, both my feet hurts like hell! Shucks…
Oh well. it was REALLY fun!!! Can’t wait for her to come again next year, and to bring her to other places to chill. Cool gal!
Tomorrow’s my last day of work. CAN’T WAIT!!! From today, i’m gonna properly clear up the house to look forward to my new job and my new year. mwahahahaha

Bitch Fight! January 19, 2007
What a crude topic hor! Apologies for that. But that’s wat happened yesterday at the TF4 party at MOS.
Let’s start at the non-topic related story first,… got to MOS at 10.30pm. Queue DAMN long! Up to taxi stand. Luckily can cut into an acquaintance’s queue, so got in within an hour. First time queuing for a club. So sickening! but not bad lah, at least got good company to laugh all the way to the doorstep.
It was SUPERBLY crowded. I have to think twice for the next TF event. Sighz. I dun think i wanna go unless it’s a short queue or the VIP entrance queue or something. but it was pretty fun, and funny too, coz some fat guy wanted to dance next to me ermm.. with… but i quickly called upon my fren’s help to be the shield. I think we were pretty cruel coz we laughed soooo loudly and nearly in his face. Poor thing.. after that he quickly walked off. hahahaha
ok. interesting story segment (the part u shd be waiting for)::: TF4 ended at around 5am (yes, 5am! I had only 1 hour of sleep between MOS & work- super super sleepy now). As i was walking to the road to get the cab, i saw the BITCH fight, that is if they can be considered gals lah. It was actually 2 transvestites vs 2 transvestites. let’s call them group A and group B. So one of the ‘ladies’ in group A was actually sitting on the low fence surrounding the tree, and Group B pushed ‘her’ and she fell over. As soon as she fell, Group A started stomping her with their heels. OUCH!!! Her other fren tried to help her but got pushed away, and since this fren was wearing a tube dress, one of her breast got revealed (i also dunno how but it did!) I think the gal was in a shock coz when an ang moh guy tried to intervene, she just stared. Group B continued kicking her and stuff and shouting in thai. The other fren (after pulling up her skirt) tried to help again, but got her dress somehow pulled down and this time revealing both her breasts!!!!!! Yes, to answer wat u’re thinking now, i WAS staring. That’s coz i wanted to see how real is the real!!!!! Couldn’t really get a good look leh. DAMN! Din wanna go too close in case the bitch fight got out of hand. So with that, i got sian, and hopped into the cab to my loevly bed awaiting me!!!!

Ok now it’s time for me to try and stone and pretend to be superbly busy. hehehe

Anyway, very happy yesterday. Discovered a whole new wave of DVD players- DVD players with the USB & Card reader option!!!! Argh! So fun!!! There was a Hyundai brand that allowed us to slot in our memory card and thumb drive so it can read Mpeg & AVI formats! Then there Akira (yes, it’s all the lower end brands one) that allows us to slot in our USB thumb drive and reads all Mpeg-4 and some AVI files. Imagine the possiblity of all the possible movies we could watch (downloaded movies i mean! LOL) YEAY! Sorry if i’m suaku and didn’t find out about this possibility earlier on, but we’re SOOO excited! And the price (we bought the akira one) is only at $70!!!!

Wah, i din realise that a few other ppl also reads my blogs. Makes me feel so loved! How i realised that? They either sms’d or called me with regards to my interview with the HK actors! Hehehe.. not bad that got ppl still read my nonsense. hahaha… Truth is, i do read back my blogs too, when i’m bored or something. Gives me a sense of ‘satisfaction’ about how my life is now and about how i still have time to write… Perhaps when i start on my new job, i’ll have even more time to write. Perhaps lah…
Ok.. where do i start… ermm… aaahh… the most interesting topic shd be kept last. so… ermm…. new year resolution first. Only have 3 this year. Might as well post it here then I’ll remember it…:
1) Develop www.keepitlikeasecret.org more! Get in touch with the market, push our stuff out more, develop more products, etc etc. May be holding one or two exhibitions cum parties, so look out for that and come show your support k?
2) Attend the classes that I’ve always wanted to attend: my Mandarin class (coz of work lah), my Aikido (then can be healthier) and hopefully closer to the end of the year, to take up my Italian again
3) Go back to my previous diet that worked for me. 2006 is a year where I really let go! Sighz… Dunno why also.. I’ve been eating more fatty stuff, eating after my food curfew and even drinking more sweet stuff! YUCKS! Gotta stop that.
The rest of my aims and goals will be bonuses if i reached that. heh.
Hmm… did loads of shopping during the xmas week. Must be the xmas cum bonus bug lah. Altho my bonus only one mth, i felt that i deserved to shop like a queen and went out to buy loads of clothes, including a dinner dress. Just in time too, coz one of our frens has asked us emcee for his wedding that’s happening end this mth! Cool. This future MTV VJ got use liao. If cannot make it as MTV VJ, then can try and take on small emcee roles! hahaha…
Ok lah. dun bore the blog. Yesterday was a great experience. Actually, it started with Thursday evening. I took half day, went to Vivo City to shop around before the madness started. Bought a jacket from Mango and a top from Topshop (then again, u dun wanna hear about this!)… Sat down at Starbucks at around 4pm and started to panic since I haven’t rehearsed my questions and haven’t translated them to Mandarin. Yes, u heard me right, MANDARIN! URGH. First time we filmed, it was in english, and i was already nervous. Now in Mandarin. WORST! Anyway, my aunt got my lil (well, not so lil anymore since she’s 13 liao) cousin’s mandarin teacher to help me translate the questions. And then i left out one question, so i asked Mei Sun to help me lah. Panic Panic. at 5pm, sat outside GV Grand and rehearsed my lines in mandarin. 6pm, panic even more since i was only ordering my dinner at Carls Junior (my first experience there and i realised it’s quite yummy!) and i was supposed to meet my producer at 6.30pm! 6.20pm- changed and quickly put on my make up. 6.40pm- LATE! but luckily i was just in the ladies next to GV Grand. Anyway, my producer got lost. hahahaha…
ok. So met with the producer, ran thru the questions, then scooted back to GV Grand to wait for the red carpet entrance. Wah, crazy fans were there coz there were a few mediacorp and fly entertainment artistes coming to the premiere of the show! ok… so camera started rolling and i asked a few of these artistes about the expectations that evening, etc etc (luckily these i got to do in english, so not so gabra. And a few of the artistes i worked before for my events so they know me too, so not so scary!). Then comes Di Lung & Francis Ng. SCREAM! Quickly mentally rehearsed my 2 questions in mandarin. Di Lung was a lil more serious and spoke quite a bit but I couldn’t really hear him coz the stupid Emcee was announcing stuff. Then we finally got Francis, he was sooo funny in his answers, but none that we can use coz he asked the viewers NOT to watch too much MTV, but more movies! hahaha..
Ok. Next, we watched the gala of One Last Dance. It was…. ermm…. ok. One thing i dun really understand.. they called this the Singapore Movie, but the director’s brasilian and the main characters are from HK. ONLY the editing (which we felt was done quite poorly) is from Singapore. Sighz. Yet another comment I shall keep to myself, but u know lah.. Sighz… Anyway, erm… my recommendation for this movie TRY to watch it if u’ve got nothing else better to watch. Sorry to say this lah, but it’s true! Even the two HK actors that i interviewed had nothing much to say about the movie. It was their first time watching the full thing that night too, and i bet they got a shock of their lives! At least some parts were a lil funny and i love the polaroid scene (yes, if u watch the movie, u’ll see this innovative way of filming!) and after the credits role, u get to see another funny part (yes, that’s another good point of the movie!) but both these scenes are somewhat useless bits and pieces coz they dun contribute to the plot! hahaha… As usual, i think that the HK actors were naturally natural, whilst the singaporean actors were a lil too extreme in their expressions. calm down guys!!!!! aiyah, but the movie has a good idea. Just use a lil more imagination and think it thru after the movie lah. MAYBE u’ll see wat they were trying to do with the movie. heh
Ok. Next morning. Rushed to the Legends where I had a one-on-one interview with both the actors. COOL! But this part even more nerve wrecking coz i had to do the entire 2 interviews in mandarin! URGH. tried to keep my calm and rehearse my lines. Di Lung was up first. He is actually VERY frenly!!!! When i got introduced, he told me his wife’s name was Ming Ming as well. ehhehe.. and then during the interview, he sommore tried to joke a lil. Very nice gentlemen! Towards the end, he kept talking about all the food he ate in singapore and when we were done with the filming, he asked us wat else he shd try! hahaha. So cute!
Then Francis’ turn. He’s a crazy but funny guy! When he heard we were from MTV, he kept saying, Oh, Channel V Channel V. Then when we sat down, he looked at me and said (in mandarin) "oh, we meet again, are u the only person in Channel V?!" hahaha… I said, No, MTV!!! He said, Oh ya, shan’t get u into trouble… When the interview started tho, he was somewhat more serious and mumbling a lil more, i think he can’t really speak mandarin too well, eventho he has a singaporean wife. hehehe
All in all, i think i did ok. esp coz i had to deal in mandarin. Stumbled a lil but i think the HK actors were superbly understanding since their mandarin were not fantastic either (actually, di lung was better with the langauge). It was a great experience and I was so glad i took the job eventho it was in mandarin. hehehe
Am really looking forward to the clip coming out on 11th January on MTV Pop In at noon and 7.30pm. hehehe. wil also look for more such gigs, hopefully in future will get some monetary in return. hehehe

Ok. So this is the ‘major’ news. I just tendered my resignatoin at 4.48pm today to Stan. Sighz… Why am I sighing when I was so adamant about quitting? i dunno… Maybe it’s coz of the 1.5 years of fun (yes yes, loads of stress and stress and more stress but i had my share of fun) and sighz… lately the boss has been pretty sweet.. actually, generally, they’re sweet ppl la.. Also sighing coz of all the ppl i’ve met in the course of these 1.5 years lar, and the experience and stuff.
But am really looking forward to wat’s coming next. Time to rock and roll in terms of www.keepitlikeasecret.org!!! Yeay! More stuff coming up this year. Big plans!!! Can’t wait to put them into action. Will update here as it comes along…
Hmm.. wat else… tomorrow night we (ron and me) get to see the gala preview of "One Last Dance" and I get to interview Francis Ng & Di Lung on Friday. interesting!

Yes! Something’s gonna happen on Wednesday that will be another step in my life. YES! Can’t reveal now coz I need to keep it til that day. But u’ll hear of it soon. Some of u know wat’s happening liao, others, i’ll announce on Wed k? Dun get a shock tho. Start guessing lah… u MAY get it right. hehehehe
Thursday & Friday… I’m gong on Pop Inc again! YEAY! Actually, now i realise wat a camera sucker I am. hahahaha… but yes, i got the call two days ago while spring cleaning the office to get it prepped for the all important end of the year office party on Sunday. Sighz. (i’ll start on THAT soon). Veronica from Ripplevox called me to tell me that there was another assignment for me involving the movie "One Last Dance". I MAY get to go to the gala premiere and have to do the red carpet thing again with the celebrities. Then, on Friday, it’s a 5-10 mins interview with 2 of the stars in a press con format. hmm.. that part i a lil nervous coz I need to speak in mandarin and maybe even try and understand cantonese! OH NO! I’ll have a week to work on that.
Speaking of the office party, yesterday, yu chin (my colleague) and i spent our afternoon tidying and finishing up the glasses for the party on Sunday. i’ve never handled so many glasses eversince I left Four seasons 2 years ago! urgh. It makes me feel like i’m opening a bar or something. Then there’s all the alcohol and all the deco and lighting and sound. I feel that it’s even more scary than the normal events that we handle coz this is Muse Inc party! Urgh. I’m making sure that on Sun i’m gonna drink my worth of drinks. hehehehe.. Bringing along Ron & Farid to help me in my quest. After all, i deserve it after all this hard work. I think Yu Chin & Jeremy too so maybe i’ll also brainwash them into this ‘task’ with me..
So basically, that’s wat’s upcoming for this week. I hope to spend Monday & Tuesday and the rest of today (Saturday) chilling out and hopefully to have some time to spare shopping away some of my bonus.
Wed Night but so Uninspired December 20, 2006
Aiyah, so many things happened since the last post, but I’m SO uninspired to write a long long one..
Lemme see.. now waiting for Ron & Farid as they make their way to Tanjong Pagar for dinner then for the Kid Koala gig at Red Dot Museum. Tonite’s gonna be a long night coz after that gonna head on to MOS for ladies’ night. Luckily tomorrow i took leave liao. Whew! Can sleep FINALLY.
Ermm.. inspiration slowly coming back to type liao…
ok.. i still owe the VERY long email about MTV. I think tt one must concentrate but all in all the vignette will be showing on Pop Inc (2 mins only la) on MTV Asia, 12 noon or 7pm, on Decemer 25th. Hopefully I will be home in time to catch it. If not, luckily got the DVD that the producer gonna pass to me.
ermm.. ok… flashback… Audrey’s bday. I tell u, this gal never fails to make me proud with wat she can do!!!! Her colleague, Hidayah and I met just a few days before her birthday to finalise the dares that Audrey has to fulfil for her bday celebration. Then i went and bought her a hallo (angel ring) and a star wand. Was so afraid she will be shy to wear it. Actually, i admit, i wasn’t that afraid coz i know she will be sporting… The evening came. Wah, she very game! Wore the hallo and held on the to wand. Shall not go into too much deets about the night (must keep such things exclusive to the gals who went right) but all i can say was WHOA!!! My galfren’s the BEST! hehehe… You go gal! I’m so proud of you. I had a WONDERFUL night, only bcoz the company was great and we were celebrating the birthday of one of the nicest babe in the world! Anyway, went home really really tired, with bite marks on both my hands (thanks to SYLVIA!), and many different concoctions all uniting in me. LOL. But fun lah.
Fast forward to last Friday. Had our Pot Luck at our place. all in all 7 of us. Farid, Lionel, Kit, Roger, Ashley, Ron and me. Food wasn’t fantastic. my tiramisu wasn’t good enough. urgh. Drizzled too little of the coffee+liquer. But the peeps were so nice lah, try to reassure me it’s nice. Anyway, then came the fun fun part. All of us squeezed into the Black Room and played silly liil party games. Losers of coz drank lah. Walau, first went the bottle of Absolut Apeach, then the Absolut Limone, then the Smirnoff. By the time we knew it, we were all quite high! Kit puked like siao. hahahaha… Started dancing to the songs on the computer and just had fun laughing and laughing and laughing.
Tonite, i’m really looking forward to going for the Kid Koala & MOS thing. Not enough sleep since Friday liao, but never mind, i’ll make it up tomorrow when i’m off. mwahahaha…
Ok. Time to make my way to Tanjong Pagar. Yeay!

In Taipei November 25, 2006
Yeap, second day in Taipei. Arrived yesterday at around 8pm. Din do much planning on what to see, since it’s a company trip and I will mostly follow the bosses wherever they wanna go. in fact, i only packed the night before (if u count 2am the night before). Sighz. Wasn’t really excited lah, since there are 5 ppl on this trip, means i cannot go crazy shopping for all the clothes that i wanna buy.
Yesterday went to some night market, i think it’s the Shilin night market. Got really excited by ALL the different type of food there. OMG. I went crazy in fact. everything i saw looked yummy man!!! I think i overate. The thing i like most were the sausages. there were ALL kinds!!! Small, large, black, white. hahahaha… Muti-national. The one that i am looking to try during one of these days is the really really large sausage that’s the size of two 500ml Ice Mountain mineral water put together (imagine the length!!!). Not bad lah, first night and i damaged my wallet by $75 SGD liao. Did the shopping when my bosses went for their foot massage. Whew. Quite happy. Got 2 pairs of shoes, a skirt and a 3/4 pants. So cheap! And the food’s soooo cheap too (the one that we bought at the side streets lah). hehehe
Oh ya. the hotel i’m staying in (Taipei Fullerton) is BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE my room. The best thing about being the only female in the office is that i dun have to share my room with anyone. So i have the WHOLE bed, the WHOLE bathroom, the WHOLE desk and the WHOLE mess to myself!!! There’s free ADSL internet here so i’m on 24/7!!!
Ok. Day 2 now. Woke up late. hahahaha. Went down for breakfast in time for them to put the close sign after i entered. Breakfast was ok lah, wat do u expect of a hotel right? So anyway, after that, we went for a ride to ermm.. some day market. Forgot the name. Names in chinese very diff to remember lah…. Bought a top there. sighz. damn expensive. $45 SGD. Now i’m regretting it a lil but not letting it bother me anyway. But this street’s really funky. Got loads of shop to cater for gals and there’re loads of streetwear. I nearly bought a REALLY cool pair of Dada’s but then no size. sighz… Actually, come to think of it, luckily i din buy man!!!
Next we went to this place called Lao Jie or something. Old Street in English. There, we went crazy again with all the food and also i bought loads of funky stuff home for my family. Carry like siao! As of now, i only have 700 NT in my pocket. DIE. I’ve still 2 more full days to go man!!! Here hardly accepts card. Damn sian.
Ok. Today afternoon was slightly boring. Sighz. In the end, we sat in a cafe by the river and played win lose or draw. Walau eh. Waste time. In the end, we took a LONG train ride back to the hotel and had only about half hour to refresh n we were out again around 9pm. But the night turned out SO much better. Had this dinner at this restaurant that was damn cheap. $7 SGD for this set meal that consisted of a drink, rice and a HUGE hotpot all to myself!!! That’s the best thing about Taiwan- the food! Cheap & pretty good if u know how to appreciate it.
So, after we were done with dinner, we headed to Luxy, a club in the city, said to be quite nice and classy. As usual, gals pay lesser to get in. My entry fee was at $20 SGD while the guys paid $40 SGD. Coolest! But the drink only one drink and u could ONLY have Johnny Walker & Coke. Oh well…
We met our client there, Melissa. And she was with Santino, the winner of Project Runway season 2!!! OMG. He was SO tall!!! One and the half times my height! Whenever i couldn’t find the group, i just looked out for him coz he was taller than anyone else in the room. Anyway, the club ROCKS. Everyone there was busy enjoying themselves and just letting go. The drinks sucked tho, but the entertainment was GOOD! They had a fire twirler, flaring bartenders and dancing gals. Very very interesting. The club itself was high celiinged and very victorian and posh. Very nice! Anyway, got a chance to dance with Santino on the podium (no hanky panky lah, just dancing) and then all the rest joined in too! This was REALLY fun!. Then Jazzy Jeff took over the decks with his scratching and mxing. It was rocking man!!!!
Now 2.30pm. Sighz. wish we din have to leave early but tomorrow i think we’re gona go to some village then meet Melissa & Santino for Karaok. Shd be quite fun lah, eventho i wish i was shopping more. Which reminds me, i better go change my money.
I miss Singapore tho. I miss being there with all my frens. Altho the club here is cooler, i wish i was with my group of galfrens. We would’ve brought the house down!!!!!
Ok ok. Time to sleep. Quite tired and my comfy bed beckons me.

25 Things To Do in One Night November 8, 2006
Yeap. Thinking of 25 things to do in one night for Audrey’s bday (Audrey, u must be reading this right! hahaha). Got til December to think about it so if u know any suggestions, lemme know! Can’t wait man. Heh. This is gonna be fun coz i know she very sporting one. She’ll have to complete 25 tasks during her MOS night and one of them will include 25 different cocktails! Mwahaha. Dunno how she gonna tahan. As long as she doesn’t get too pissed drunk, i think we’ll be safe. Hmm.. what else will be fun? Will think about it.
Just completed the Gems TV IPO Launch. Not bad lah. It was held at Bar None on Friday and except the fact that the AV had some problems, in the end all worked out. Once it was all done, Pamela (who’s this really sweet Marketing Chick from Bar None) treated me to some YUMMY Absolut Peach. My new fav drink (yes lah, i very suaku lah). I feel the ppl are very frenly there at Bar None. It’s just too bad that i’m too ‘young’ for the crowd there. I reckon the ppl that go there are older and more matured ppl. Eee… it’ll be like hanging out with my uncles. hahahaha
So. Am back in the office after the 2 and half day Roadshow at OUB centre. The weather was crazy! A while hot, a while rain. Urgh. And coz we were in a tent, we had to keep opening and closing the STUPID curtains that were so difficult to handle! Urgh. Thank God for Part timers! hahaha.. Most of the time, i just sit and stone and they just stand and stare at ppl. hahahaha
Oh well, i gotta go now. Pretty short post coz my brain’s pretty stoned now. Have to wake up so bloody early in the morning, my body wanna break down liao. Good part is i’m getting some destressing this evening! Yeay! Starting with 1 Rochestor (SPH party) and then O Bar and then MOS! Yeay!

I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO RIGHT NOW and I’m still stuck in my office. All I can do now is WAIT for my STUPID client to revert on some STUPID artwork that she shd’ve started doing HOURS ago. but NOoOOOoo! She has to wait til 5pm before she starts discussing this with the world! THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!!!! I’m gonna call her EVERY 5 minutes from now on just to irritate the HELL outta her. URGH. Dunno wat’s wrong with clients these days. They used to be nice. Now ALL the clients we have are CRAP. Ok, almost all lah. There’re still nice ones out there. Perhaps I just have to look at their plus points lah. URGH.
My Second Entry today leh! Not exactly very proud, since I wish i was at home instead! I’ve got SO many important things to do, like start watching the MANY shows that I bought last week. Good thing tomorrow I MAY be off, so I can start on my 3rd Season of the L word.
Oh ya. Must refer back to my title as I always do for my blog entries. Why September 1 2005 ah??? Oh.. coz I was sooo bored that I decided to go see how many entries I’ve written and when my first blog entry was. SEPTEMBER 1 2005. WAH. 1 Year and nearly 1 Month liao leh! Not bad eh… Managed to write for so long and so much too. I must be really overtly talkative (yes yes, i see some of you nodding your head, and Yes, Jonathan wil probably post another “u’re damn right” post)… Hehehe..
But this year’s been great writing this post for nobody to read. It’s fun for myself to go back and read the posts that I’ve made. I used to TRY to keep a diary but my hand gets tired after writing 5 sentences and soon after I gave up. I’m glad now that the internet is so advance, i can post ONLINE. Hmm… wait… this is stupid… then everyone can read my posts right? Now only realise too late right! No lah, I’m not stupid lah. Watever I write has a ‘read between the lines’ function just for myself. So watever I type here is just a source of reminder for me whenever i read back. Hehehe…
Also, I’m glad i can share with my frens (or whoever who can sit thru reading my nonsense) about my life easily, not that I dun talk a lot while i’m with them lah, but this is an avenue for me to let out without feeling guilty of someone listening to me without getting anything in return.

A Dog named Lucky and a Black Cat October 29, 2006
The weirdest thing happened to us yesterday. As i parked the car and got out to get our stuff from Red Dot to be brought back home, Lucky the neighbour’s dog walked up to us and started sniffing at us. It’s not that we’re smelly k!!! He just kept sniffing at us. hahaha.. Anyway, brought the first stack up, came back down for the smaller items, and he was still sniffing us. Then we started talkint to him. Talking to Lucky! hahaha. Anyway, we told him we going Shop n Save and asked if he wanted to follow. He started leading us! So Lucky walked with us to Shop n Save coz i had to buy my weekly stock of water. So anyway, Lucky happily walked with us and started going into Shop N Save!!! Of coz we shouted for him to come out and asked him to kindly stay outside. But NO. Lucky doesn’t take that! As soon as we entered Shop n Save, he also entered looking for us. I guess he either got distracted by something else in Shop N Save OR gave up coz when we were done shopping, he was nowhere to be found. Oh well, he’ll find his way around. Everyone knows Lucky.
So… We walked ourselves back home this time round. Keeping a lookout for the dog just in case lah, but i think he went off gallivanting nby himself as usual.
Got upstairs, there was the black cat that always hangs out outside our house when we’re playing Mahjng. This time around, the cat approached us and started rubbing itself against us! It also kept going round and round and round around us. Hmmm… so weird… I was eager to go home and bath and sleep coz of the LONG day after the Shell race, but as soon as i walked to my house to open my gate, the cat stood in front of me, waiting for me to open my door for it to enter. No choice, had to lure it down the stairs, which it nearly caused me to trip coz it kept circling around me! As soon as it started drinking the water in front of the barber shop (yes, this cat seems to be taken care of to coz it’s REALLY clean), we started up the stairs. I reached home, quickly opened the gate and shut it! Whew.
Last night was really weird. Why ah. Hmmmm… some call it luck or something good and I shall be positive and think of it that way. Another way to think about it is that I’m really smelly. and that there’s a rat in my house. Oh well. It’s pretty interesting tho if u think about it. =p

Sommore today is the day after the VERY long weekend. Sighz. Good news is that Boss going off on Friday morning, means I only see him today and tomorrow. Bad news is have to work this Sunday, next Friday night and next Sunday evening. WALAU EH. Urgh. Which actually means i’ve got a few off in lieus to clear. Yeay!
Boss now blasting Kean “Everybody’s Changing”. The other boss as the boss to turn it up louder so now i’m cold and going deaf. hahaha. no lah. It’s nice, coz only one more hour left to off work. HOPEFULLY can get off on time. So demoralized to work today after the long holiday.
I think that’s what my problem is. My whole body aching coz I’ve not been working hard enough. hahaha.. Sadomasochistic man I sometimes….
Well, am looking really forward to Friday’s meeting up with the Convent gals. I bet we’ll have loads of fun. Speaking of fun, had loads of fun on the eve of Hari Raya too! Was at MOS. Actually Justin was kind enough to send me an sms to admit two ppl into MOS for free. but when i reached there, i called him and since the sms came from his name (and not MOS number), i asked him how to use… In the end, he’s SO sweet! Got us through the VIP queue and so it gave us access to the VIP rooms in the main arena and cage. Actually no diff for me lah, i din really like staying in the VIP room. Just that on the outside, they dun seem to wanna serve us plain water, so can only get it in the VIP room. Hahaha. I think i so weird, only like the VIP room coz of the plain water, but i was really thirsty that night lah, that’s why i feel like that lah.
hmm.. lemme think wat happened. Oh yea, we had a ‘tour’ of the places that reminded us of the ‘fateful’ night and then to thank the toilet auntie, and this really nice chick that helped me out that night. So coincidental to meet her there loh. Was very happy to see her. Damn, forgot to take her number! Argh. But then dun want her to think i’m lesbo or something so maybe the next time if we’re fated.
Justing was sweet again to buy us Apple Shooters at Pure. Urgh. I’m supposed to buy him a drink for the VIp thing and then he go an buy pulak. So embarrasing. Nvm. Will try it again on Friday. URGH. Hands must be faster this time around. When i went to the ladies, Lyn got a free tequila shot. my dear gal never learnt her lesson!!!! hahaha. Ok lah, one shot wun die.
Danced mostly at the Cage coz the rest either quite empty or played music that i’ve never heard before. Cage was pretty fun. I think my stamina that night quite good coz i lazed for the whole day liao. Just needed to pee a lot- must be thanks to the 1.5l Vodka Ribena i mixed from home before we entered the club. But that’s the only effect the vodka ribena had on us leh… i think i need to put in MORE alcohol the next time. Note to self noted.
had a few more free drinks around. Dunno how come but got so good lah. The only thing i din like about the night was how MOS ended its night. The last song was still pumping around, i thought we had another half hour, but before anything else, harsh lights came out and the music was cut immediately! Walau eh. Sian. But anyway, the funny part was on the way out. The MOS bouncers very cute loh, reminded me of a wedding whereby the bridal couple’s family shook hands with everyone and said thank you. The even funnier part was that one of the bouncers remembered me from the ‘fateful’ night!!! hahaha.. So cute lah.
So MOS has indeed increased its plus point in my view. Beginning to feel more comfortable. Damn! Good in some sense lah…. Does anyone know if there’s a Clubber Anonymous group i can join???

Anyway, Saturday was Meng Li’s wedding in Malaysia. I was looking forward to it SO much coz it meant meeting up with old friends, some of whom I’ve not met since I left Convent in 1997! So, the morning started with the tea ceremony. Meng Li looked SO cute in her lil white santarina outfit. Really looked like Santarina coz it was a short spag strap white gown with frills at the bottom, followed by a long trail (think peacock). Very cute and very daring of her to wear it but she pulled it off perfectly (of coz lah, my breast fren leh!).
So, after that was done, i went to trim my hair, went shopping a lil and then went home to rest. In the evening, had to be there around 6.15pm to help with reception. Reception was quite messy as the ppl who came were SO anxious to find out which table they were sitting. Makes me feel like I was in the immigration coz everyone was so kancheong. Hardly had time to really breathe! Anyway, on to the dinner….
We had about 3 tables of Meng Li’s old friends and I was sitting at the Church fren’s table with Chin Vei, Tan Khan, Joyce, Matthew & his wife, and Victor. Quite cool lah to be sitting with them but couldn’t talk coz the band was just behind us and the music was a lil too loud. Luckily i was sitting next to joyce so the most important person that i wanted to talk to was just next to me! Ok, the rest reading this blog, it doesn’t mean u guys were not important, just that Joyce is also my very very good fren so of coz I’d want to speak to her the most right! Not forgetting u lah, Vic, I was glad we had a chance to catch up briefly when u came over to steal Joyce’s seeat for a while. hehehe.
Took quite a lot of pics with the Convent gals and managed to catch up with all of them finally after the wedding. Went to Piccolo (the hotel’s bar or something) and made loads of noise there. hahaha.. I think amidst the whole bar, can only hear our voice. That’s such a distinct character of Convent gals- making loads of noise. So there were loads of laughter and jokes and all running thru the entire time we were there. it felt really really good to be amidst the old frens and I really hope and look forward to meeting up again this Friday man!!! MOS MOS MOS!
Finally, we left the hotel around 1am. Chin2 drove Sylvia, Jiee Teng, Ron and myself to Sylvia’s place coz her dad’s bringing us into Singapore. So sweet of her dad and her man! They wanted to drop us home but we insisted not to since where Sylvia was staying was very close to my place anyway, so they dropped us off at the cab stand to take a cab but waited till we got one! How sweet is that?! Sighz….
Yesterday, went for Swan’s wedding gown fitting. Her wedding’s the next one I’ve to look forward to coz that’s in March. And then there’s Lynnette’s wedding in September and MAYBE 2 more weddings next year (if i get invited- hahaha)
So many weddings eh? Fun but expensive, but certainly not complaining.
Die. Forgot I’m supposed to get ready to go for a meeting. running late now. Hopefully the meeting won’t take too long so that I can go my granny’s house and see my cousin before she gets to school, and then to run home and sleep so that tonite i wun be too tired for MOS!
Till then, if u’re getting married, Congrats! =) I dun think u’ll be hearing this news from me anytime soon tho!

After the incident on Wednesday and what it kinda did to my phone, I decided it’s FINALLY time to move on. So i went and got myself the PINK SE Z610i. SO pretty, cannot tahan man!!!! It looks good and I think the functions are pretty good too (played with it a lil).
Sighz. Right now in the office. Another half hour and I’ll be off from work to make my way back to JB. Going back tonite coz tomorrow morning have to be at Meng Li’s house by 10am. Yeap yeap, finally her Malaysian wedding’s taking place. So exciteed to see some of my old frens man. Wearing my black and orangy dress again (the same one i wore for Matthew’s wedding- no time to shop lah!). It’s a pretty funky dress. My colleague says it looks like something from Star Wars. Hahaha.
Quite sleepy now. The effect from Wednesday hasn’t totally wore off and I’m still left stranded within that day (you must be pretty curious wat it is about? Hahaha.. MAYBE I’ll tell u if u ask me privately). Still very very tired. Couldn’t sleep last night coz playing with my phone so not enough rest again. HOPEFULLY tonite i can sleep well in my old room. hopefully lah. If not tomorrow i’ll look panda. EeeEee! Sommore have to be at the reception table and then go on stage. How lah. Sianz. Cross my fingers that I’ll look better tomorrow.
Still half hour left. Sianz. Wanted to take Monday off. At first Boss said it was an off day for us. Sekali, there is a STUPID event happening in 3 weeks that we haven’t settled ANYTHING yet, so have to come back! Actually, good also lah, i get an extra day credited to take off in lieu. This one easier to claim than my leave itself so i’m really looking forward to it. Looking forward to resting on Tuesday. Speaking of which, maybe shd go out on Monday hor… Anyone interested? Lemme know k!
Ok. I better go off. Time to clear my desk. It looks like someone robbed me man. All the papers everywhere! Time to clean it. Have left it like that for weeks liao. I think got dead rat beneath it all man.

Stuck in the office now pretending to be really busy, but actually painting my nails and waiting for my fren to call me to finally get me outta this office and to party!
Sighz. Actually, got quite a lot of work to do but my brain stopped working at 6.30pm as usual, so have to push everything til tomorrow and rush thru everything then lah. hopefully i’d be able to get everything out in time. Sighz. That’s how i am these days, always procrastinating. Must be a job hazard since we always know that last minute sure got change one, so wat for plan tooo much tooo ahead right!
Anyway, am really looking forward to tonite man. Ladies night back in SG! After partying in Oz, i kinda miss the SG scene. Dunno why also, even tho the scene here seems deader than over there. hahaha. Mayb i just miss partying with my very dear gal frens lah.
Next week, we’re doing a Starhub/Hype/Sony Ericsson party. Dunno if i’ll get sued for writing this tho. hahaha.. but i think the collaterals and invites are out already anyway! This is a party that celebrates some kinda collaboration between Starhub & Hype and involves the 4 singapore idols- Taufik, Olinda, Hady & Jonathan. I’m as excited as a cucumber man. Sighz. Gonna have to deal with divas and young brats who probably think they’re good and high and mighty. Then again, i think i’m jumping the gun in my perception of them. So bad hor i… hehehe… we’ll see how and i’ll report in again next wed. The most exciting part is that it’s in velvet underground so maybe can go mambo night AGAIN next week. yeay!
Next sat’s another exciting day too! Meng Li’s Malaysian wedding. can’t wait. The wedding in oz was already so sweet, dunno how the malaysian weddding’s gonna be. Shd be really fun to catch up with all the old church and school frens. Can’t wait man!!!! Oops, i haven’t dry clean my dress yet. oh no. better remember to do that soon man. Maybe i shd shop for a dress for the tea ceremony. What am i saying man, i’m not even the bride! ARGH! ok ok. calm down calm down..

Anyway, just finished the one actual work that i need to do for the day. The rest, i’m gonna leave it for now and try to concentrate harder tomorrow. hopefully none of my clients will hound me for it. sighz.
Talking to someone from the wedding in Oz (shan’t mention names). Damn funny and cute guy. Married mind u! So no funny business there lah!!!
Anyway, i’m still missing oz terribly. I’m in a dreamy state of mode and an constantly in need of sleep these few days. Must be the fact that I never slept much.. Ok for those of u who either have nothing else better to do or love me too much that u’d read this, below’s my trip in a large nutshell…
Flight out from SG to Oz was at 9pm. Meant that it was night flight. i asked for window seat and got lucky to be sitting next to a lady. So that was ok. Only that she was SUPER lazy to get up so when i wanted to go to the toilet, she would tap the lady in front to lift up the chair for me to pass through. Quite rude, this lady!!!! But anyway, i enjoyed the ride coz they had entertainment on demand, which meant that i could choose, pause, rewind, fast forward any shows that i’d like. But most of the time, i just fell alseep, that is when the STUPID baby on baord wasn’t screaming his lungs out. I wish i could just grab him and flush him donw the toilet bowl. His damn mom dunno how to entertain him. Just let him scream. i know coz they were sitting very close to me and i could see EVERYTHING! URGH
Anyway, flight arrived safely in Brisbane airport and in my eagerness to get to the train and my hostel, i forgot that i could’ve gottena free ride with my qantas air tic, so i went and bought a $12 tic! Urgh. Mistake number 1! Nvm lah. I told myself i’m on a vacation, so watever i spend on, whether wisely or otherwise, i’ll just have fun!
Train took me to Fortitude Valley’s Brunswick Station. First thing i did was ask for directions coz i felt really really lost. Some lady at some convenience store gave me some wrong directions and after walking around the same place about 4 times, i finally reach bunk, all tired! but cannot check in yet! Urgh. So i left my bags, and decided to walk to queen street mall. long long walk but i finally reached without getting lost (have loads of stories about getting lost, so will just sum it all up here. Yes, got lost a few times but it was kinda fun, altho tiring!)
hmm.. ok. at around 11am i got a call from Meng Li. She was in queen st too! So met up with her and Von and went shoe shopping for Von’s wedding shoe. Tsk tsk tsk. So last minute man he. hahaha. But he shopped really fast man. Good! So. After that, i had to head back to my bunk to check in and that’s where i got lost (enough of the lost business now). By the time i got back, i droped my bag, it was time to meet Meng Li & Von to visit the church in which they were gonna get married in. THIS CHURCH IS BEAUTIFUL! reminded me of Milano! It was the ONLY stone wall church in brisbane. u can imagine how romantic it was! (pics to come soon). then, we took a walk to see the places in which we would be doing photoshoots the next day. I was slumped by the time it was 5pm! So i told ml i’d meet her at her place later. I HAD to go back to sleep for a while. Slept for only an hour then i made my way to ml’s house. Brought my dress to be altere, to my pleasure, i lost weight! yeay! so anyway, whilst waiting for the dress to be altered, we went back to her place and i watched them practice their dance for the dinner. Finally, dress was done, so picked it up, ML & Von dropped me back at Bunk, had a coupla drinks, then went to sleep for another hour.
3am: Woke up to go to ML’s apartment for her big day. Took a cab and arrived first, so did my hair first. the hairstylist did magic on my hair man! She first curled them up then with every lil grab of the hair, she’d spray hair spray and put a clip. I felt like i was opening a hair clip shop by the time she was done, but the effect was beautiful! She made it look like it had beautiful long hair that was curly. Hehehe.. Next, on to make up. The make up wasn’t too thick, just the way i like it (but looking at some of the pics Steve sent to me, it did look like monkey’s backside at times. oh well!)… the end result of it all with my gown was amazing. hehe. felt all pretty and ready for my breast fren’s big day! Whilst waiting, we took loads of pic. Walau eh, feel like movie star and i guess that’s why my eyes are so pain now- too much flashese over the weekend!!!!
so, we started out with the church. first time meeting the best man. There were four best men and four bridesmaid. First impression: All too quiet. But then again, we were in the church when we met. hahahaha. so of coz they’d be a lil too quiet. When all the solemnization was done, it was time for the fun photo shoot. The weather was VERY hot but the shoot was fun as we went about all the different places and took pics. It turned out that the group was a fun bunch and i was laughing all the time! That helped coz the sun was SOOOO hot!!!!
We returned to the hotel to res (shan’t bored u with too much deets) and most of us fell asleep. hehehe. it was a good rest tho, coz i was more fresh for the evenin party. It was at the Stamford hotel and we had to sit on the stage at the long table. so Ang Moh-fied. but was a good experience. Just had to watch how we ate (not that i cared). hmm.. so there was the touching moments of all the speeches and such, then there was the funny moment where Von’s frens played games with them… and then there was the drinking moment where Von got really dunk. hehe. but he wasn’t the only one lah. :-p
All in all, it was fun. Von’s really sweet frens dropped me off at Bunk, i partied a lil more, then went to sleep. Wanted to wake up early for Sunday’s flea market.
11am. Woke up late! Oh no! So went down to the brunswick market. Wat a disappointment! the only comfort was the YUMMY kebab. hmm.. so in the end, i walked back to queen st mall, prob the only place i could go. walked around, went back to bunk at around 3.30pm, caught some sleep, went out at 5pm to meet with Tim (my ex-AT member) and his gf. Really cute couple. Had dinner then drinks, then they went home. Stayed on, had a coupla more drinks, then went back to sleep. how boring.
monday was fun tho! Woke up around 10am, took the train to Gold Coast, nope, not for the wat world wat world, but to this palce called Harbour Town. Yeap. U heard me right. Harbour Town. It’s the heaven for shoppers like me! It’s a HUGE place with a lot of outlets for brand names! I went crazy man. Spent like 6 hours and A LOT of money in that place. Bought so much stuff. mwahahaha. i was so crazy that i had the map of the place and made sure i walked everywhere. each time i finished one particular portion of the place, i’d mark it out. hahaha. tat’s how crazy it was.
By the time i got back to brisbane, it was around 7pm liao. grabbed some dinner, drinks, then went to pack my bag to get ready for sydney. sighz. how time flies man. i love brisbane. that won’t be the last it sees of me!
Ok. next morning, met up with ml. Luckily she called me. i was supposed to check out by 10 and she called me at 9.30. i thought it was 7 and wanted to sleep more. lucky man! scrambled for the bathroom, then went down to check out, dropped my bag and ml and i went for a walk to southbanks. nice! They have a beach right in the middle of town! heh. we found this nepalese house right in the middle of the place too, apparently it’s been there for sooo long but ml has never been there before. we took some pics and pretended we went to nepal. so funny.
Soon after, von came to fetch us to the airport. sighz. so sad man. but i was looking forward to sydney and meeting jonathan and eegs and the rest. hehehe…
Flight was really quick loh, mainly coz i fell asleep. So tired! Reached sydney, met up with Jonathan, went to the hotel and dropped all the stuff and we went off for a walk. Had sushi (of al places, sushi in oz). Quite yummy i must admit! thus startted out food trail… i think we had like krispy kremes after, and then sausages, then kebabs, and then chips and stuff. I was sooo full man (but not jonathan as he told me the other day). We fell asleep around 10pm that night, so shagged out from all the walking (we walked from my hotel all the way to sydney opera house and darling harbour etc etc)
next morning was FANTASTIC. Went to the sydney fish market for breakfast. YUMMY. altho i dun eat raw oysters, i had the baked oysters that was oh so delicious! and the lobsters and clams and prawns. Ooohh LA LA!!!! Shucks. Must not think about those coz can’t eat them now. URGH. ARGH
Ok. am i boring u? Just say if i am lah k? anyway, a lil more left only lah. went shopping (again) and bought up all the other stuff that i needed to get for ym family, went back, rested and then went to meet eegs and his frens at 3 wise monkeys. Very fun buncha ppl and very nice place to be in.
Ok. next day. time to pack and go home. had breakfast at some side cafe, sat the carousel (yes, with all the kids.. why not right? hehehe) and then had a sit in the park, stoned a while and then went back to the hotel to collect my stuff.
Thus ends the journey of the year. Sighz. back to reality. Wish i could write more but thinking about it makes me sooo sad and depressed so shal stop now. Will look forward to another vacation. Who knows, i’m really inspired now to really find something to do in oz for a longer period of time. we’ll see….
Back to reality… Sighz… October 5, 2006
Am in the office now, typing this. It’s back to reality after a whole week of vacation. I’m feeling lost right now. Dun feel like working yet i THINK there’re lots to do.
Australia was fantastic. After hating it for so many years, this trip really changed my view of it. Perhaps it’s coz of the fact that i went there by myself and did everything by myself so it was really refreshing not following anyone’s schedule.
The wedding was beautiful and surreal. It’s like watching a lil girl get married since I’ve known Meng Li for so long! It was sweet and nice and I’m really happy to see her so happy. Von’s a really nice guy and i know that Meng Li will be treated so right!!! Anyway, the wedding started out at 4.30am. The preps rather. OMG. I slept only like for an hour before i had to wake up again, took my gown, drag myself downstairs and catch a cab. The clubbers were on their way home too so it was a while before i could catch a cab. It took me only 15 mins to get to where i had to go and when i reached there, i was whisked into doing my hair. VERY interesting tho!!! The stylist had to curl my hair and pin them up. Each time she picked out a lil, it was hair spray and hair pin. But the end result was BEAUTIFUL. It made my hair looked like they were longer and it kept this way throughout the day!!!! NICE! In the end of the night, when i took it off, they were still so curly. hahaha.. first time i had curly hair!
Ok.. then after hair, it was makeup time. Sighz. So much makeup to do man, but the artist was really good! At least i dun look over-made up and the end result with everything in place was just nice. I’m glad i lost a lil more weight for this day (the tailor had to sew about half an inch on both sides for me when i got to oz. YEAY!)
Started out with the church ceremony at the St John’s Chapel- the only church with stone walls. SOOOOO romantic man!!! It reminded me SO much of Italy and Milano. So, there were 4 bridesmaid and 4 best man. When u enter the church it is sooo romantic and huge, u know, the olden days kinda church. Sighz… and the priest was so stately in his garment… everything was so beautiful, right out of a picture book! After the church ceremony, we took the afternoon to go around taking the bridal pics. Very fun coz it was such a fun buncha group!!!! Everyone was just joking and laughing and stuff. It was very very hot tho, so it was kinda tiring. I was glad to be able to just nod off a lil each time i got to a couch or the car. hahahaha. i must’ve snored a few times, i reckon! So tired!!!!
In the evening, we had the wedding dinner at Stamford Hotel. very nice and cozy. It was the ang moh kinda dinner, so we sat at the long table on the stage and stuff. The speeches were really touching and funny, except mine. hahaha.. I kinda messed up mine coz i din know wat i wanted to say! I had been thinking about it for a whole month and only managed to pen down a few words the night before. Argh. So unjustifiable for a frenship so great. But nvm, i’ll make it up for her malaysian wedding dinner in October. hehehe.. hopefully by then, i’ll say something better. hehehe
So, wat did i do… hmm.. i could go on and on but it seems like i’ve been writing forever! Well, to cut short, i really shopped hard and partied harder. Australia’s atmosphere is so differeny from here. They’re really relaxed and frenly whilst it’s always stresful and uptight here. Well, most of the time it is uptight and stressful lah. hahahah. but i really had fun lah. The only problem is the food in australia. It’s either OVERTLY salty or OVERTLY sweet! How do they live like that!?!?!?!
Weather was good. Very hot in the day but really cold in the night, so i’m no complaining. hahahaha..
All in all, it was such a good trip i wish i never had to leave. I’m now just waiting for my pictures to come in before i post them up. So exciting to receive the pics. Can’t wait!!!
Will write more later about the trip itself if i ever get the inspiration again. Feeling damn lazy…
Ok. Urgh. My boss waited for me to get back to clear the office. Such is the woe of being the only gal in the office- they think u’re the maid as well. hahaha. Time to go TRY and clear the office. Sighz.

Woohoo! Counting down the days to my OZ trip! Yes!
The only thing is. Walau eh, damn sian loh. I was supposed to leave on 27th night and reach 28th night. But something cocked up with my travel agent (STUPID PPL) and then now i’m only leaving on 28th and reaching on 29th. Which actually turns out ok, since I’ve a new project coming up and i’ll have to rush as much as possible since we only have a 2 weeks turn around time.
And then the Thailand coup is driving me nuts! Why ah why!!! Previously, my other job, i had a small chance of going to thailand, then Tsunami happened. So kena canceled. Then now, i really got chance to go, got Thailand Coup. URGH. But my boss is reassuring me that the trip may most likely go ahead as planned. Whew. Hopefully lah. Keeping my fingers & toes crossed.
So, am really excited about the trip. For now, i think i lost all energy to write any more. This is a surprisingly short Blog. i guess it has to do with my fatigue from yesterday’s Zouk. Hehe

11.52am: Very Hungry & Uninspired September 19, 2006
What a title. So negative one. But it’s true. I’m tired, hungry and uninspired.
Tired coz I spent until 4am last night helping Ron with a music track for my boss that he rejected in the end. Sighz. What a waste of effort & energy.
Hungry coz it’s close to lunch time and I’m always hungry. Heh. Nothing new here.
Uninspired coz it’s Wednesday ONLY! Urgh. And I’ve got this nagging work to do but I just can’t get around to doing it. Maybe i need to feel stressed out before I can really produce stuff. Sighz.
BUT
Despite all these, I’m really looking forward to Friday and beyond. Friday’s ZOUK night! Yeay! Really looking forward to that. Need to de-stress. Dunno why i’ve been so stressed out lately. All i can think of when I wake up is when I’ll go back to sleep, and when I sleep all I can think about is waking up. Sighz. Dunno wat’s happening.
Can’t wait to go on my Australia trip. Leaving next Wednesday, arriving on Thursday. Have more or less planned out what I wanna do. This trip’s gonna be REALLY good as it’s been a long time since I’ve taken time off to myself away from everything else. And also, will be meeting Meng Li & Jonathan & a coupla other Utopian mates so it’ll be pretty fun lah. Different from what’s happening at home. There are like 4 events lined up during the time I’m not around. Wah, luckily i applied for my leave a year ago, if not I can’t imagine wat would happen man.
I mean, i feel bad lah, coz they’re already short-handed, but this is something that I’ve planned in such a long while, and it’s my breast fren’s wedding!!! How can I do anything else right?!?!!?!?!
Yesterday, I got news that I’m most likely going to Bangkok for a Nokia-Discovery event. Wah. Happy man I coz if I do get to go, I’ll be going twice in November. Once to go see the place and the rehearsals and stuff (which i’ll definitely extend it into a weekend there) and then the other time for the actual event (which I’ll definitely extend ALSO). Wah. I can’t wait for all the cheap shopping and massages man! This is prob one of the more exciting parts of my job. And I thought my trip to Kuantan and Batam next January would be fun! hehehe…
Anyway, I’m getting hungrier and it’s turning 12noon sharp. I’m going off now for a quick bite, then SHOPPING. Yes, this gal needs to de-stress BIG TIME.
God Gives Signs September 14, 2006
This is a funny story that i need to write here before i forget. Also mainly coz i have nothing else to do now in the office and i’m pretending to be very busy so that my colleague doesn’t try to push his work to me. mwahahaha.
Anyway, we have to raise up money for the next season of Keep It Like A Secret’s t-shirts. The money that we’ve been making out of MAAD still doesn’t cover it totally so I have to think of ways and means to scrimp and save from now until we get the goods since it’s COD. Sighz.
I kept thinking, die die die. Lost hope and such. And mind u, i only found out about this raising money thing on Tuesday morning. So anyway, yesterday, as i was walking to the MRT station, i felt something hard in my pocket. Ok that din sound right. But aiyah, u’ll get wat i mean in a while… Anyway, i reached into my pocket and found $50!!! Wah. God must’ve been telling me that he’ll be helping me. hehehehe… So happy man.
WAIT. That’s not the end of the God Given Signs. This morning (this is the funnier one), i was walking to the MRT again…. as i was crossing the road, I THOUGHT i saw the Chinese God of Fortune holding on to the Golden Nugget. As I walked closer, it was REALLY a Chinese God of Fortune holding the Golden Nugget!!!! He flagged a cab and went off. hahaha… Yeah lah. He’s just an actor lah. U think i would be seeing such things during this month? Siao!!! I’ll go crazy loh.
So, two signs that God is gonna help me. Yeay!!! Until he really rains money on me, I’ll still have to scrimp and save lah.
Hmm.. wat else shd i write to look busy… hmm… ok… last night was a blast. Went clubbing again (yes, i must join the Club-aholic Anonymous soon!). This time it was slightly different. Din go MOS. I think coz the music every week sooooo same it’s sian loh. We had our drinks at O-bar as usual, then headed to Zouk. Yes, the land of youngsters. I would’ve felt old but the fact that they checked our ID (yes, it’s nothing new) showed that i still looked young (as usual, hehe). Zouk was fun! Music was great that night. The scariest part was the crowd at Phuture the first time we went in. Went in halfway, then decided to turn around coz no more path to move. Wanna turn around also no space. Wann move out even worst, CANNOT move!!! everyone was stuck worst than sardines in a tin!!! In the end, i saw the bouncer trying to shine his way out of the club, i decided to just tail him and that method worked so well! Whew. Thought I’d have to stay in phuture stuck to one location and not being able to move. Nevertheless, the first try didn’t scare us off. Never say die attitude mah. The second time in was great! Sommore got space to stretch arms one. hehehe. Music was fabulous, not to mention the company.
All in all, wat a great night! Today’s an even greater day. Half of our management is not around (meaning one of our boss lah), so today everything very relaxed. Remus is blasting off oldies for some reason. It’s so much better than his chinese songs and him crooning to it. Tomorrow will really be TGI Friday coz i think Remus has to leave early to fly to Bangkok to meet Stan, then our whoel management team won’t be around liao.
Just got a disgusting fact about Koalas from Jeremy. This is research for one of our events. “The baby Koala can directly feed FROM its mother anus” DISGUSTING!!!! Imagine if the mom pees, and the baby koala thinks it’s food or water. EWWWW. Ok. Stop being disgusting, ming!!!!
Shall stop here. I think i write a lot liao. I pity those of u who actually sit thru reading this. hahaha.. But I also appreciate it lah. At least it gives me an avenue to talk to many many ppl at one time. heh. Sometimes talkative ppl get tired talking too u know!!!

My Wall Part 2 September 4, 2006
Woohoo! My wall’s getting finished tonight! Can’t wait to see the end. The fumes from the spray can’s making me a lil disoriented but it still smells pretty good. Dun get any ideas- i aint’ no druggie. hahaha.
Anyway, that’s only ONE part of the house that is done. We’re gonna photolog the whole process from the first wall to the other end. By the time we’re done, i’ll be charging entry to my house coz it’ll be like a Keep It Like A Secret museum!!!!! Will continue posting more pics about this. It’s again very relaxing and amazing to watch the artist at work. Something I know I’ll never have the talent at- drawing!
Anyway, yesterday’s MAAD sales was Mad!!!! Was very happy and encouraged! Can’t wait to see what the next few weeks bring about. I hope that it’ll only improve from then on! What I can’t wait to see is how much potential our thing can grow into after we’re done with our business kits. I hope that it’ll be CRAZY, but even if it isn’t, i know it’ll be fun every part of the way!
Website for www.keepitlikeasecret.org has been updated a lil. we had to relook at the cost structure to be fairer to the international audience, but also am trying to maintain a privilege for our home peeps who are supporting us.
I’m so tired right now but yet can’t sleep coz am so excited. Head’s spinning a lil more. Opened all the available windows and turned on all the fan but the fumes are getting stronger. URGH. Hope this doesn’t make me sick. I’m feeling more and more disoriented by the fumes since my house is so small and no matter where i run, i can’t hide! WAIT: taking more pics of WIP…
OK. So, two weddings to look forward to this month. Both frens of whom I shared my teen years with. Heh. First up: Matthew’s wedding in JB. Matthew’s the brother of one of my bester friends, Joyce. What I remember of him are his interesting stories and how he would stand up for us- a really good quality in a fren. Although now we’re all grown up, it still was really nice meeting up with him when he came down to JB… that was a long time ago i think… and when he mentioned he’ll send me the invite, I did wonder if it was true! hahahaha.. so i was happy and amazed he remembered me. Appreciated that!!!!!
Next up, end this month’s Meng Li’s wedding. WAH. Never expected her to tie the knot, but now that she is, i’m ever so glad she has found someone that will cherish and treat her right!!!! Am really excited about this, only coz I’ve been waiting for almost more than a year now (if my calculations are correct!) and even longer for her to be hitched!!!! Have known Meng Li from when I was 11. Wah. So long man!!!! We used to stay close to each other, so I guess that fact did help a lot in us becoming ‘breast frens’. Sigh… My breast fren’s getting married- yet another sign I’m getting older and older.
Can’t wait for my australia trip man! It’ll be such a refreshing thing to be away from Singapore once again and to be travelling like i used to when i was in milan. This time, all by myself. Scary but exciting and am really looking forward to the break from work. I think once I get back, I should be refreshed again. i guess it’s this way with work…. That’s why the tourism industry in the world will never die, coz ppl always need a holiday to get away from the mundane things in life!!!!
Ok. I think I shall go try and get some fresh air in the toilet or something now before I start hallucinating and type nonsense.

I’ve gotten so inspired to write this particular entry of Blog.
My designer-artist is drawing on my house wall! OMG. I knew that his works looked great, just didn’t know how great it looked up front and when it was being drawn in progress. It looks amazing! He’s SO talented man!!!! I can just go on and on and on about his work (note: his work- i’m not attracted to him otherwise). Am taking photos of the various WIP. It looks awesome. can’t wait for it to be done man! It’ll look really really good!!!! Will post more pics here when it’s over. Thern you too can see (or try to at least see) what I’m seeing now. WOW
Other than that, we’re going MAAD this Sunday! Keep It Like A Secret is gonna set up shop at the MAAD (Market of Artist and somerthing something- for original work only) this Sunday at the Red Dot Design Museum. We’re gonna sell our t-shirts, drawings, notebooks, slippers, etc. Can’t wait for that. Judging from what my artist is planning for the stall, i think it’s gonna be crazy!!!!! Come down if you’re free! We start at 11am to 6pm, and the Red Dot Design Museum is located at the old Maxwell Traffic Police Headquarters. Take the MRT to Tanjong Pagar MRT, turn right once you’ve tapped your ezlink, go up the escalators till you come to the open air. turn left (you’ll see the WhiteHouse building) and walk along the white house until you see the RED building. That’s the Red Dot Traffic building. The museum is there too. You shd see the MAAD sign lah.
Very very excited! Website looks great. My house wall looks great. Sunday sounds great. Everything’s GREAT! All except that nagging headache that spreads to my eyes that I have no idea what it is (neither do my doctor) but to hell with that! I’m having FUN!

2.24am in the morning according to my lappy. Just finished sending the email to as many people as I can possibly think of. So excited I dun think I’ll be able to sleep at least for the next 2 hours or so. I keep refreshing my Inbox for my Microsoft Outlook to see if anyone has decided to make the very first purchase of the www.keepitlikeasecret.org website. I know, sounds pathetic. hahahaha.. But cannot help but feel dizzy with excitement.
Dunno where this will lead me but am hopeful about the future of this business. Just hope my two other partners are as enthusiastic about it as I am… But I do see potential in this, so am gonna pursue it with all I’ve got.
News of promotion finally came true. Got a ‘senior’ added to my level. Sighz. Means more work at almost the same salary. Was very happy with the raise, then realised that my CPF will take a chunk out of it and so not that happy anymore. Sighz. Anyway, i think the news already sunk in when my boss accidentally blurted it out a month or 2 ago when he was drunk, so all the excitement and happiness already worn off by the time I signed the papers. Nevertheless, am glad to be doing pretty good 1 year into this job. Thank God!
Nuff said. My head still filled with keep it like a secret, thinking of how to further increase the sales and how to market it. Any ideas out there? Wacky ones are welcomed too! Dun wanna be too conventional with anything nowadays.
Hopefully will get this up well lah. I know my designer has a strong following since he started this a year ago, just have to tap on this following and to build on that.
Wish me luck. Am gonna need this, and more, to make this thing really really big.

It’s 4am in the morning. I’m officially 26 years old and counting. Sighz. So weird to pass another year of age, eventho it hasn’t really sunk in that i’m THAT old. Perhaps it’s coz i always get stopped in clubs and places that only allow 18 years and above (I’m NOT kidding!). So I guess it helps when i look and feel young.
So many things happening. Lemme see where to begin…
Shall begin with my bday then. I think it was nearly a week long (not a very wow number to celebrate, but it happened to be a week long, so i just have fun loh). Started with Wednesday, when i went out with the gals to MOS. Started out with a list of about 10 gals saying yes yes yes. Then went down to only 5-6 of us. Sighz. But nvm, i had fun with my frens and i’m really thankful to (not in any order) Wei2, Xueli, Joanne, Christine & Audrey for coming down and being the first few babes to celebrate with me. Dunno why it was SO crowded that night. URGH. Din get enough drinks, so i guess tat added to us not being high enough. But the music was pretty ok, so i guess that made up for the evening besides the GREAT company.
Hmm… Then came Friday. Friday started out pretty bad coz i had this major ‘fight’ with one of my clients (shan’t mention tat he’s from Apple). The thing about this client is that they’ve been asking us for quotations and keeps coming back to tell us they have no money. finally, they settled on an amount, and i worked SO hard to try and give them that amount, in the end, they still say that it’s too high. He kept going on and on about insignificant things and costs that is justified (just being REALLY unreasonable) and kept insisting that that’s not the lowest. URGH. I am beginning to boycott their products only because EVERYONE i meet in their singapore office is THE SAME. The only difference between them is the level by which they are terrible. It seems the higher ranking they are, they WORST. Just coz they’re a cool product company, they think they’re the world and everyone has to do them a favour and give them FREE service. CHEH!
But at night was kinda cool. My boss took us out to dinner at Dolce Vita (Oriental Hotel). Bill came up close to 500 for 5 of us. hehehe.. He quite generous and sweet when it comes to celebration lah, so i really appreciate it. He got this ring (on behalf of Muse Inc of coz) for my bday. It’s made with swarovski crystal (a really huge one) and in my fav color! It seems it was bought from this paragon shop that specialised in like boutique designers, etc. Knowing my boss, a normal present (eg ring) that will only cost $15 outside will usually cost $50 if he searches for a present. heh.
After dinner, we went to MOS. Urgh. The crowd on Fri seems sooo weird and horrible. Music was bad. Yuck. In the end, we left at around 1am. What a way to usher in me crossing the quarter of a century!!!!
At least today (i meant Saturday lah, since it’s 4am Sunday now) was much better. Made a trip into JB to spend time with my family. Had a good lunch n a good dinner. Got a big ang pao (hehehe) and a nice swatch irony… and then had a nice mini cake (brownie to be precised) that my darling bought for me and watched pirates of the carribean (which by the way sucked and i fell asleep)
Can’t wait for tomorrow. It’ll be one of the last celebrations (except maybe Wed again since some other gals couldnt make it, so we might go out AGAIN)…. Tomorrow’s celebration dinner will be with my beloved 3 lil cousins, my aunt and my grandparents. hehehe.. Yummy Food again. DIE. I better go on a diet for real this time!
Another date I can’t wait is the "Keep It Like A Secret" exhibition on July 22. It’s a small business venture that I went in with Ron’s good fren, Adek. He’s so talented with his designs and drawings but he just wanna concentrate on that, so that’s where I’ll come in. Hehehe.. gotta learn to do some good marketing for the products and hopefully it’ll grow to a large brand.

There’ll be some fun stuff on sale there to start off with. I’m also lookin forward to the launch of our website v2. hehehe.. then we’ll start talking about global. YEAY!

Very High & Listening to Robocop July 7, 2006
Yeap. Am very high now. So high that i can harly type or view what i’m typing. Dunno what inspired me to post this but just felt like posting it so grabbed my IBM lappy and started typing.
Today was Fly Entertainment’s 7th Anniversary n we were all invited. At first only me could make it but in the end everyone went. We were supposed to say hello and goodbye, but in the end, who could resist a free flow of whiskey and thirty three! Not bad. If i was any younger, i’d be so start struck as we saw local artists like Phyllis Quek (so pretty!) Karen Mok (i forgot her name but its the damn funny gal that isn’t too pretty!), lf coz spoke to Irene Ang coz we always work with Fly on emcees… Also danced with this lao jiao actress (forgot her name leh but she’s married to some other actor- not Aiyoyo!) and her son- so cute loh, mother and son dancing together!
Ended up that we only left at 12 midnight (actual targeted time was 8pm!), and that was coz my bosses were heading to ANOTHER party at Sentosa! Wow. Came back, cooked tea and sausages and had 2 pieces of bread with those but now still high. Hahaha…
Actually, i can’t wait for next week coz HOPEFULLY i can get more gals on Wednesday for my pre-birthday gals’ night out and then on Friday, boss is taking us out for a night out to celebrate my colleague and my bday. Wah. We pakat to get Remus and Lee Kheng drunk. hahaha… Then we’ll have a funny time laughing at them! hahaha…
This week was a really stressed out week with all the deadlines plonked together. We have about 3 major events, of which 2 is in consecutive days in the early week of August! Turn around time for these projects are soooo short that they are shorter than my skirt! Ok. Corny joke there. din know i was tat corny when high. hahaha…

At work now. Hmm… reminds me of an article I read about blogs and office. It seems that if your boss finds out you’re writing stuff about your office, it’s not good. Sighz. Well, i guess so far wat i’ve written has not hurt the company (i still love it here. yes) and hopefully my boss understands that it’s just my avenue of expressing myself lah…
Anyway, my two bosses are outta town for about 10 days! Woohoo! U can imagine now that the cat’s away, what the mices are gonna be up to loh!!! But at least am working hard when i need to k! I’m making sure that at least i finish what i need to finish doing before relaxing a lil (like now)…
It’s gonna be a GOOD month in July. Besides my birthday (hint hint), i’m about to embark on a new journey with my frens. Yes yes yes! It’s something that I’m excited about coz i think it has potential and hopefully i can get outta the “no money” situation i’m in… Yeap yeap.. as of July 1, i will make the official announcement of my new ‘business’. Watch out for it k? Am very very excited about this… hehehe.. can’t even explain it. Just that i think it’s time i really took a step closer to my dreams rather than just dream about it and then not do anything about it.
Also looking forward to a really really busy month ahead in July. The company has numerous projects in july, which means another round of sleepless nights and blog-less weeks… sighz.. but i’m prepared as i think that’s sooo much better than cracking my brains on how to pass the day and how to look busy in front of my bosses. hehehehe
Ok lah.. i very lazy to think wat else i wanna say. After a brain cracking week this week, it’s finally FRIDAY. Time to relax a lil. Meeting some gal frens for dinnner tonight at Aimici (yummy!) and can’t wait for that loh.

I’m Back Again!!! …only for a while May 30, 2006
Walau eh. What a long long time before I am able to post this post again.
Just finished one of the hugest (and shortest in lead time) project. The proudest part of it is that it’s one of my solo projects where I handled most of the stuff. SOOOOO cool! Got a pat on the back from my boss on this, which makes me soo nervous coz each time something good happens, something bad comes along. So far so good. hopefully it stays good.
Well, more about this huge event. it’s the launch of the ThaiBev IPO. Wow! I was so proud to be part of this ‘history’ as it’s one of the largest IPO event in 15 years since Singtel! We had ONLY 2 weeks to turn this whole thing around and it was busy as hell, not to mention the stress and the tight deadlines we have to meet, and not to mention the PR company keep changing their minds and that the actual clients are in Thailand so communication wise very slow. Sigh.. and then there’s SO many parties involved in this event that sometimes it gets confusing on who to approach.
but in the end, the end result was marvellous. And also it left me sick of drinking beer altho that’s not the main point in the end. hehehe…
It was a fun project. made news frens and strenghtened relationship with my colleagues… now am looking forward to the next big thing and hopefully it will be as fun.
Hmm.. i gotta go now. Actually posting this from work and boss is comin down anytime to discuss about some other sucky project.

Lingering in my thoughts…. April 5, 2006
Yesterday was sorta a gastronomical day! Yes, yes, yes it was! For lunch, had this wonderful Fuzhou Fishballs (the fishballs with meat stuffed in it) at this small lil shop at Chinatown. YUMMY. Left me wanting more. Luckily didn’t get a second helping. If not, i would’ve bought XL for the skirt that I bought after!
But that was not THE ultimate! For dinner (the thought of this is making my tummy rumble) Ron and I went to Amici Restaurant along the Tanjong Pagar road. I had this Granton card where you get a 1 for 1 deal for the main courses. Being the hungry (and gluttonny) ppl we were, we ordered a 4 ppl share! hahaha… First up, we had the oh-so-yummy pizza (Parma Ham topped with Rocket Salad). OMG. I loved it!!!!! Whilst the helping of the rocket salad and ham wasn’t as generous as wat i would have at Spizza, i think that it was really yummy and a real nostalgic feeling overcame me when i had that. Reminded me SO much of Milano and Italy coz the pizza crust was wat u would normally get over there! Then came the STAR DISH of the evening: The Crab Linguine. OH MY GOD. U will never taste a yummier crab linguine in Singapore. This i guarantee, since pasta’s my life and i am out on the journey to search for the best pastas in Singapore! I’m still thinking about it right up till now. Ron was just staring at the empty plate after we were done with it, and he stared at the plate when the waiter took it from our table right up to the kitchen to clear it. That’s how GOOD it is! THe pasta was cooked to the best texture and the taste was not too tomato-ish eventho it looked too orange. YUMMY.
Then came our main courses (by this time i was already 70% full but still greedy). Ron had the lamb shank (a greek recipe, it seems, according to our overly frenly restaurant manager, Matthew). It was quite good. But mine was better! I had this beef steak with gorgonzola cheese sauce. It was good good good! Not too heavy on the cheese. I would have finished it, but it was a lil too rare for me, so Ron had the pleasure of having that too! hehehe.. by now, if u haven’t realised, yes, we eat a lot, sometimes bordering on over-eating. Thank God i have Ron to help me finish the food, so i can always order LOADS and then eat a lil of everything and leave the rest to him. hahahaha. Mwahahaha.
Then came dessert. Matthew recommended the Bailey’s Mousse (i first heard it as Billy’s Mousse- i think too much 6 feet under for me). I thought it’ll come in those choc mousse cup, but no! It was actually very very beautifully presented with strawberries, cream and crumbled something. hehehe. Heaven! Best part is, I had it ALL for myself! No sharing!!!!
WOW. After the meal, the best part was the bill! We only paid $75 for allllllll these. GOOD. So glad i bought the card. Glad that I didn’t let my colleagues dissuade me from getting it. We have sworn to go back to this place until the card expires. Then, we’ll just have to tahan until cannot tahan, then go for the oh so heavenly crab linguine!
Nuff’ about food. Time for lunch. ;-p
All by myself… April 3, 2006
YEAY! I’m all by myself in the office. It was soooo quiet that i could hear my own breathing! Had to go turn on the radio and now at least I have Lush 99.5 to accompany until the rest of the office humans come back.
Gonna get at least 3 days ‘off’ from my boss. YEAY! Another reason to celebrate this black Monday. He’s gonna be out of the office on Tues (tomorrow!), Wed and Fri (and hopefully Thurs!). Friday doesn’t count as much excitement since I’m getting my off after the hectic event yesterday. But i’m really looking forward to tomorrow and wednesday.
Today’s a real black monday! After the ‘heart to heart talk’ that my boss had with us last week, asll was well and rosy for 2 days! Just two days! And then he goes back to normal mode today. My red top and pink underwear didn’t help at all!!! URGH! Dunno wat’s wrong with bosses nowadays.
Anyway, had a really long weekend. Had to run this event for Nokia and Discovery yesterday. Whilst it was interesting (it was about making films on your mobile phone) and the good news was that i earned an off in lieu (that’s why i’m off on Friday), it was a horrible event! so many changes and so many problems kept popping up! In the end tho, my really nice client was very happy. I guess tat’s wat that matters. He even wrote an email to my boss and cc’d me and my colleagues that i had done a great job. Not bad for the first try of planning an event without my boss interfering too much. Loads to learn too. Will remember those learning points.
Sigh.. i’m so NOT looking forward to when they come back. Thinking of it is making my head spin. I hope they’ll take SUCH a long time that it’ll be time for me to go home and they haven’t come back yet, altho i know tat’s wishful thinking. I shd hear the key turn any moment now….
Guess I shd start doing some work but am so unmotivated to do so. URGH. Oh well, i’m gonna try for now. I dun have much inspiration to write more anyway….

OMG. I’m at work and I’m tryping on my blog!!!!! OMG!!!
This shows that it has finally slowed down a lil… Or actually, it’s coz both my bosses are out for lunch at 2.23pm and hopefully they dun return soon. I’m left with another 4 more hours before official off time (hopefully can go back dot dot today) and i’m feeling much less busy today. Woohoo!!!!!
Had a headache during the weekend with on of my Shell projects. Shucks. The stupid uniforms don’t fit a lot of my guys and it was soo bad for one of them that i think if he had to wear it any longer, he’ll turn into a G-String Model!!! hahaha… but thankfully got this all almost sorted out and am waiting for the uniforms to safely arrive at the Shell station. Am just waiting for my phone to ring and the good news to come in the sms form.
Office feels so quiet without the two bosses above us. it seems really really peaceful. mwahahaha.. not tat i’m complaining.. i mean my bosses are GREAT! they’re so nice when they’re nice but it’s like the nursery rhyme about the girl with the curl in the middle of her forehead. When they’re nice, they make you feel sooo nice and make you feel soooo appreciated. But once my boss gets into his crazy mood (which is quite often nowadays, i must say), all hell breaks loose!!! I know i can be a doo doo bird at times, but sometimes, he says something, then the next moment, it is as if he has a short term memory! He then proceeds to insist on something else which is the total opposite of wat was said at the first place! Grrr… Are all bosses like that?!?!?!?!
Argh. Wah, the office so quiet (i know i’m saying that so much!) and it’s sooo quiet that i’m feeling so cold coz there’s not enough human warmth. How i wish everyday was this way, even if it means i’ll freeze to death (either that or i’ll just kill the aircon)
I miss being so carefree in school! I’m so envious of Ron now that he has started school again! URGH. i wanna go back to school, where i can try and skip classes just to hang around and be lazy.. where, eventhough there are projects and exams, it’s sooo fun to be cramping all in and rushing for deadlines. Now, rushign for deadlines means that I’m almost really dead. URGH.
Ok, enough bitching about the bosses who sometimes do care about us. The relationship between my bosses and my colleagues and me are sometimes like the abused wife scenario. The husband abuses the wife so badly, but in the end, he makes up to her buy buying her roses. Metaphorically lah. My boss doesn’t buy me roses lah.
I hope this doesn’t break any legal rules. After all, i’m not really really bitching about my bosses. I’m just lamenting about work life. hehehe.. Work life does get to you. I WANNA GO BACK TO MILANO!!!!
A time to breath… March 24, 2006
Whew… Finally some time for me to breath! Looking at my last post, it was in January! OMG.. and we’re nearing the end of March!!! Realised how long it’s been since I had any hints of life after work.
Been struggling to keep afloat as I prepared for the huge ass event thrown by Shell. At least now the launch event’s over and what’s left is the Men In Red Appearances in each Shell station. Speaking of which, I’m so happy to have gotten my 8 wonderful men in red. hehehe.. They’re a cute buncha guys who try to have fun at what they do. Great spirit! Shall miss them once the whole thing’s over.
Went to MOS last week (yeap, actually got to go somewhere after work these few months). It was not as wow as i expected it to be. I guess they gave it too much hype but it didn’t really work for me. Or maybe it was coz it was a Wed night and there weren’t too many ppl? It remains to be seen. Will prob give it one more shot before shooting it down.
Was also busy preparing for Meng Li’s surprise bachellorette gathering. Was sooo nice when it all fell together. Heh. Love giving surprises. Loved even more gathering with my old convent frens. Meng Li, Mei Sun, Chin Chin, Florence and Pauline were there. Really fun and we laughed soooo hard that i lost my voice the next day!!!!
I guess all wasn’t lost these few months. Just when i feel sooo demoralized, i have my dear colleagues to talk to since we’re all in the same boat. I guess that’s the way work life is. Sigh.. but i still love my job lah. Love every minute of planning and executing the events. Love anticipating all the challenges that is thrown on my path.
Ok. Time for me to slump. Dun wanna spend my first official ‘freer’ day staring at the comp coz i’ll be doing it all over again on Mon.

My engine cannot start! January 10, 2006
It’s Wednesday, my first working day of this week (had Monday off, Tues was Hari Raya, so had a long weekend to laze about). I’ve some stuff to do, nothing heavy duty, but CANNOT START my engine!!! URGH.
In the morning, came to work late (1 hour) but my bosses and other colleague was late. In fact, nearly everyone was so late that Yu Chin (my biz dvlpt mgr and the first in the office) called Lee Kheng (my other colleeague) to ask if there was actually work today! hahahaha.. Anyway, when we arrived, we chatted for a while, then boss called for a meeting. Have this interesting ‘life board game’ thingy to plan for in Sentosa so we spoke about that. Then came lunch and window shopping. Whole office went so we took lunch longer than usual…
Now it’s 3.30pm. Only 3 hours left before I go home to laze again. Ron’s coming to fetch me, so i reckon we’ll be having a pretty good dinner around town tonite. Can’t wait for work to be over today. Lately i’ve been soooo burnt out. I have been getting rest here and there, starting from the Xmas weekend, but to no avail! Sigh… dunno lah… maybe it’s coz sometimes bosses are bosses and they can be moody and their mood can swing. so maybe i’m not used to that.. will try and slowly get used to it lah.
But i still like my job, can say that safely. Love my bosses despite them having a boss attitude (but they’re one of the better bosses u can find out there says my colleague!). Love my colleagues.. they’re a fun loving bunch and we’re a very young group.. So i’ve nothing much to complain coz even my clients are cool ppl!!!!
Aaaah. yeah… complain time again… STUPID SCRIPT WRITER. On Friday, we finally had the long awaited Starhub Gala Dinner. Had rehearsals the whole day. I really think we wasted money spending $2000 on a sucky ‘scriptwriter’ who helped us string OUR work together and claimed the credit for himself. It seems, he has advertised himself as a scriptwriter for hire on his webpage and has quoted us as one of his works. BLEAH. Some ppl skin can be thicker than pigs! Anyway, this is wat happened… The cast were reading together and they said they wanted to change one segment. he stared at me, expecting ME to come up with something! This time, i REFUSED! I told him, u’re the scriptwriter, u think! Then, got one time, i asked him to direct something, and he had the cheek to ask me if he had to do it! Again, i replied (rather sarcastically and outrightly this time) “U’re the scriptwriter wat!”. I had a BRIEF moment where i thought he was professional coz he wanted to stay for the show and help out, but u know wat he did at the end?!?!?!! He ate the WHOLE course of western set menu. Our dear fren hid in the kitchen, waited for food to be served, then ‘kop’ it to the backstage to eat, IN FRONT OF ME, while I was working my ass off. he could sommore tell me the food was GOOD! WAT AN IDIOT!!!!!! URGH. He will forever go into my black book as the LAZIEST ASS Scriptwriter! URGH!
Ok ok… with all this complaining, i think i can finally go back to work, *whew*, after i finish surfing my frenster, planning my homepage, talking on msn and after i make my tea, which should be around 5pm. hahahaha…
Still holiday mood lah. no choice.
January 01 2006! December 31, 2005
WOW. I’m gonna be 26 this year! What a way to start the new year- I’m sick at home with flu, cough and fever. URGH!!! Wanted to go back to JB but mom says i should rest… Oh well… maybe it’s a good way to start coz it means i’m probably gonna bum round the house a lot today by myself.
Let’s start with my Xmas dinner at St Pierre. Have been very excited about it. The Friday (23rd) ended pretty quickly coz when my bosses came back, we gave them their pressie, and they gave us ours and by the time we knew it, we had no more mood to work! My bosses are SOOOO sweet! I’ve been holding back on buying new make up coz of the lack of cash, and Remus (my art director who does all my make up and hair for my events) had been complaining about my day makeup being too light for the night. So they went and bought me a set of Estee Lauder makeup! My god! They’re so sweet man!!! The evening started as though we were going to prom or something. Everyone was busy preparing to go to St Pierre. Finally, we squeezed into Remus’ car and was on our way. The restaurant was quite “shi-shi” and cosy, but i felt a lil scared of doing something wrong coz the ppl there were all like so high class. hahaha… we had this 10 mini course thingy where all the portions was sized only slightly larger than a 50 cents coin! but it was very feeling and by the time i got to the 10th dish (dessert no. 2), i couldn’t swallow another bite! So anyway, that night, I was pretty adventurous. Tried Foei Gras (yucks) and Raw Salmon (YUCKIER!). Dunno how ppl eat these stuff. urgh. only for the rich, i guess!!!
So. Hmmm.. Had a LOVELY xmas day with my family and Ron. pretty quiet one, stayed at home to chill and laugh at my lil cousins’ antics. Opened loads of prezzies, as usual. Love this atmosphere. Look forward to xmas family gathering and CNY every year!
went back to work on Tues (everyone was too stoned to work…) coz we had to settle the script for Starhub. I have probably the WORST scriptwriter working for us! No creativity at all, and he made ALL kinds of excuses for not meeting the deadline. To think his blog website is highly famed for all kinds of stuff. YUCK. Buay Hiao Bai! So anyway, he came up with this stupid script that didn’t make sense and Stan (my director) and I was rolling our eyes ALL THE WAY!!! Stan was very close to firing the guy, but we had no choice as it was too late for anything and the workshop with the casts was on Thurs. Can u imagine, this guy, when we gave him a comment for the script, he would comment “Yeah, i thought of that too”. Well, if you have thought about that, shdn’t it have been in the script? Wat an idiot! So after he said that so many times, Stan decided to use it against him. Stan asked him “Ok, with the idea that you thought of (which was our idea anyway), what next?” and he just kept quiet since he didn’t know wat’s next! IDIOT IDIOT IDIOT. The WORST thing was that, not only he couldn’t deliver, he kept blaming it on his ‘writing partner’ Mr Brown, which up til now, we’ve not met! This guy quite schizophrenic i must say!
Friday was really really fun! We decorated the whole office for the office party yesterday. Our lighting vendor (for our events) sponsored us lights and smoke machines, while our Tentage Vendor supplied the tables. We bought LOADS of liquor for the party and everything looked SO nice! Then, I got ready and met Audrey and Joanne for a night out at the O-Bar, which was of coz crowded with ppl lah. But had quite a lot of fun, as always!!!
yesterday- Eve of the New Year, was spent quietly at home mainly, watching tv and just chilling out. Damn nice. Also mainly I was already on the verge of becoming sick and was already feverish… but the night turned out really nicely. We arrived at the office party around 11.45, just in time for the champagne and count down. after that, it was everyone getting drunk (except me- sick mah, cannot drink!) it was quite hilarious! There was this group of idiots tho! They went around the office, opening drawers and picking up our documents and stuff. They even scribbled on the board where i put our events on! URGH. Where did these idiots come from!?! They have no courtesy at all!!!!!! URGH. I’m glad they’re NOT my friends.
Ok ok… this is super long. And i need to sleep again. Very lethargic and tired, thanks to the inability to sleep well coz my nose is blocked.

Eat Snake December 23, 2005
Stealing some time off work. It’s the Eve of Christmas Eve (in the words of Jamie- who’s crashing in at my place and finishing up ALL my nutella in the fridge!) Looking forward to the end of the day, which means the start of the evening. My bosses are taking us to this posh posh French restaurant called St Pierre (dunno how posh lah, but prices seem posh). We’re gonna eat this course called the degustation (sounds more like disgustation) where we will be taken through a course of about 10 dishes in small portions. I had a peek at the website for this disgustation thingy and the first 3 totally made my head spin! It was some salmon thingy (i dun eat slmon), some swordfish or king fish thingy with some sweetish sauce or something (sounds like warped sweet sour pork) and the third dish is the foie gras. Foie gras’ supposed to be good right? I dunno. Wait til i taset it tonite. Not fond of liver but since it’s expensive liver, will give it a shot. The dinner would set the company back at $150 per pax (my colleague told me). Wah… scary man… imagine how much stuff i can get for 150 man!!!! Will tell you the outcome of the disgustation tonite. At least they will have wine to go with it, so just eat and swallow loh.
I’m SO tired today. Lethargic more like it. Must be all the xmas shopping frenzy. Also, spent the later part of last night trying to figure out WAT to wear to the French restaurant. Giving me a headache. In the end, i decided to wear my christmas top (some brownish gold thingy) that i was keeping for the actual xmas day. heh. i know, it’s usually chinese new year that u wear new clothes. Well, i thought that a new tradition was in place. Dunno fi it’s new tho, but it’s new to me.
So… hmm… Jamie Jamie… Jamie called me on Tuesday, i think. Wanted to come stay over coz she’s working somewhere in Kallang these two weeks (dunno can reveal or not, but worst come to worst buy her loads of nutella to make up for it). It’s like those older days where we used to stay together. Kinda fun. hehehe.. but she talks and laughs really loudly! hahaha.. in a good way, it livens up the house. But not when u’re trying to sleep (oops, jamie- no offense lah.. just pulling some stunts at your expense). I’m really looking forward to her shiftin over to the east. At least got one more person to hang out with, and one more person that i can always talk to. As always, a pleasure! (does this make up for making fun of you, jamie?!)
supposed to be working now actually. But eating snake. Aiyah, it’s xmas mood liao. end of the year mood. can’t seemto concentrate on anything else!!!!! Oh well, i think i better go do some boring paperwork and admin stuff to try and clear the clutter that has been around eversince i joined the company.
Should i not write by Xmas (which i reckon i may not, with all the good food going on- the only destination would be bed!), MERRY CHRISTMAS to those reading this. I know Yee Cheng read this (Merry Christmas, gal! can’t get over the fact that you were so quick in pulling your pranks on Joanne with me! hehehe.. You’re not THAT blur after all). I know Lyentte read this (Merry Christmas gal! Gonna miss you on the 30th when you’re in Melbourne, but ENJOY yourself and we’ll meet up when u get back!). I know Jessie read this (Bonjour! Merry Christmas! Sorry we won’t be meeting before you go back to France. sigh sigh sigh… How can you go back ON Christmas day itself!!!!!! Anyway, i’m looking forward to meeting you again. Will send you the club pics soon, i hope!). I know Jamie will read this (Hey gal! It’s been fun staying with you for these few days, eventho u seem to be raiding ALL my stuff rather than your usual fridge space only- but Merry Christmas. Will see you on Christmas Day itself right? Last weekend… December 19, 2005
Just had a pretty cool weekend. Didn’t get enough sleep but that wasn’t really a factor lah.
Started out on a Thursday. Had this event at the BEAUTIFUL Chicago Business School grounds. It was the Film Awards evening for Nokia & Discovery. There was free flow of Moet and my bosses and I started on them even before the guests arrived! hahahaha… It was pretty funny coz we were supposed to be working for that evening. Anyway, luckily the show went out fabulously. Nadya Hutagalung (Our emcee) was SO funny and laid back! Really like her. Had loads of fun chatting with her and Wendy (her manager). Anyway, as soon as the show ended, that was when the real champagne flowed! I reckon in that evening, I had about half to three quarters of champagne before I decided my tummy has had too much bubbles in it. Had to keep some for my after-work plans that evening (gal’s night out). I think my bosses dranks at least 1-2 bottles of Moet each! OMG. Everyone was just laughing away (even my clients- they’re so cool!)
So anyway, around 11+, it was time for plan 2 and i went off (a lil tipsy) to meet my friends. Jessie was back in town from France and so we HAD to go out for this gals’ night out. Went to Double-O. I used to hate that place. Dunno how come nowadays each time there’s some sorta gals’ night out, we go there. So anyway, it was also a funny night. i was too full to drink, so i let my wallet rest for the night and didn’t spend a dime on drinks. We hit the dance floor as soon as we reached. It was one of those nights where we just had the energy to dance and dance and dance. It was even funnier when Lynette’s Boyfren (kar Leong) got ‘picked up’ by a she-male. hahaha.. She joined in our lil circle and said hi to him. hahahaha.. i can imagine the goosebumps on his back man! hahaha.. tat was funny. he’s a pretty nice guy (i can just see his head swell now)- protecting (or trying to rather) us gals from the guys around. hehehe… and also being able to take bullshit from me. Now, that’s wat i call a REAL gentlemen.
So anyway, finished around 3am. Tipsy, tired and drained of energy. Got in to work on Friday. My two bosses and I had some kinda hangover. Mine’s the minimum since i drank much less in comparison to them, but i was feeling sooo lethargic and couldn’t concentrate. Couldn’t wait for the day to be over. My two bosses were soooo stoned that one of them had to take half the day off coz he couldn’t stand his hangover. hahahaha…!
Saturday was pretty cool too! Went into JB for a while, met up with Jonathan, talked a lot. It’s been such a LONG time since we chatted and I’m glad we finally got the chance to talk, which to his explanation is being able to have the skill to pretend to hear wat i’m saying. hehee… anyway, when i got back, met up with Joanne and Yee Cheng. They were in town for the nutcracker ballet. Did midnight shopping at Suntec and then ended it up with supper at my place. Then that’s when the funny part came. We took so much pics. Joanne and Yee Cheng were (i guess) intrigued by Ron’s turntables and stuff so they kep taking pics and posing. Then we decided to take group pics. hehehe… (will post them up soon)… the funniest part was that we ran out of ideas at the end about wat to take and Joanne suggested something like ballet. So i said, ok lift up your arms and yee cheng and i will cover our noses. Joanne didn’t pay attention so yee cheng and i decided not to tell her wat we were gonna do. When the camera went off, it was hilarious! I think joanne was furious! hahaha.. (btw, the pic is up on my friendster- joanne will kill me but i MUST post this up. Joanne, I’ll post Yee Cheng’s bra soon k!)
By the time the weekend was over, Sunday was just a rest day. no energy for anything other than fixing my new phone (yes, new phone but need to be fixed).
All in all, a pretty good weekend, doncha think?
Back & Broke December 7, 2005
Just got back from Chiang Mai on Tuesday. What a GREAT break I had during the weekend. No worries about work, only loads of R&R! Actually, more recreation (shopping mostly) than rest. hahaha…
Am SO Broke! Over the course of 2 1/2 days, i spent SGD$300++!!!! It’s been some time since I spent like that but I guess it was quite worth it. For that amount spent, I got 2 massages, loads of clothes, loads of snacks to bring home and managed to squeeze in the money for a few small gifts for loved ones and my colleagues!
The ppl in Chiang Mai are sooo friendly! it is less crowded there compared to Bangkok and less traffic. But the only set back? I didn’t get to eat ANY Tom Yum or Mango with sticky rice. I guess the Northern diet is influenced by China coz they seem to love their teochew porridge a lot (either that or I was at the wrong place at the wrong time).
Visited the Waroro Market about 4 times (so much so I knew how to walk from onoe place to another using small routes). it was REALLY interesting to see all the stuff on sale. It’s somewhat like our Pasar Malam, only larger and more interesting. Mom and I went crazy buying the dried longans and deep-fried pork skin (this is YUMMY with the baby green chilly paste) and everything there felt so cheap as compared to what was found in Singapore (and I found a lot of stuff found in expensive shops in Singapore- imagine my ecstacy of buying them cheaper!)
Visited the Hmong tribe and saw the ‘home-grown’ marijuana tree. They use this to create hemp and we were explained the process. it was so interesting to see how marijuana could be used other than smoking it. hehehee… wanted to get some cloth or something made with it but didn’t find anything suitable. Too bad i say…. But the village proved to helped in my retail therapy! Loads of stuff to get and ended up with a pretty nice chain for less than $4! They had roadside vendors selling food and drinks and i (the very courageous me!) bought a large hot dog thingy that was actually rice and pork. Quite yummy if u ask me! And the good news was, it didn’t come out immediately through the other end! This proves that actually the roadside vendors are not as dirty as we imagine them to be (if u picked the right one lah!)
All in all, this trip was wonderful. Good get-away after the really really busy period. All ready to go again with the rest of the stuff back in the office!

That’s the title my youngest cousin, Jayne, gave my house when I told her we caught a rat!!!!! Yeap, you heard me right! I have been staying with a rat as my housemate for goodness knows how long! I think it started 1/2 months ago when i was really busy with all my work and stuff. perhaps coming home only for 2 hours a day gave the rat ample opportunity to call my house its home!
But never fear! Pestbuster’s here! They’ve put this sticky mat all over my house plus rat poison and stuff. Just as he was about to leave, curious lil me had to go shake my washing machine. The rat apparently had made the washing machine its bed and it ran out!!!!! The pestbuster guy chased after it and after a struggle, the rat (who ran in and out of the house) was finally caught! Thank God for that!!!!! Now i’m gonna make sure I ahve the pestbusters peeking in my house once a while to ensure nothing like this ever happens again. EWWWWWWWWW
Anyway, am very tired after this rat ordeal. Not to mention this is the first weekend after 2 months of slogging and sleepless nights. Gonna take a rest right now. Massage therapist says have to rest and drink loads of water. She said it right in front of my boss so i’m now gonna follow bosses’ order! hehehehe

My third entry so far! So happened that I’ve just completed the running of my third event with Muse Inc. And it’s my 3rd month with the company! Wow! Talk about number play! Things are still going great with this job. I think i was meant to be in this line of work. Hours are SO bloody long (for the past two weeks, i started work at 0930hours and end at an average of 0000hours!) but things are still interesting as i get to do different events, meet different ppl and have loads of fun!!!!!!
My third event saw the Guess perfume launch. Emcee was Daniel Ong of 98.7fm. He’s a really really cool guy!!! Made the 2 days so much more interesting as it was a very very VERY hot weekend and therefore, traffic flow to the tent outside reduced substantially. But at least our emcee made the days more bearable with his antics and jokes!
i’m SO looking forward to the weekend of Nov 11. That’s when we’re the busiest, but it’s a mark that soon, we can have a few days of the weekday off as we take our rest. Nov 11 is the party for Madonna’s new album launch "Confessions on the Dance Floor". It’s gonna be a blast as there’re quite a lot of things planned for the party. Nov 12 is yet another HUGE event as the ministers and SM Goh is at an event that we’re managing. Scary! I can’t get over the fact that I had to meet with his security team and my email brief of that meeting was 3-4 pages long!!!!!! Nov 13′s the Shell race. Yet another large scale event as it’s an island-wide race. Still having a headache over the 100 ppl that we have to hire. So far, luckily I have a few interested parties and the agency helping me. Whew!
I’m going shopping in a while. Wanna take some time and finally do something quietly by myself and spend the money I have soooooooo tiredly earned. hopefully i find some nice stuff to wear for Madonna’s party and the SM Goh event!

WAH! Finally, my second entry after a month long!
hmm.. Lemme see.. Work’s getting SO busy! It’s sooo much more interesting at my new job compared to wat I used to be doing. yes yes, u may think that’s being sour grapes or unfair to my previous job, but it’s true and this is my blog and as long as i’m not de-faming the company (which the boss seemed to think so), then it’s fine ain’t it?
Loads of events coming up this coming month and next. Especially next! All this busyness is to prep ourselves for the upcoming events. WOW. i’m SO excited about those events coz there’re a few high fly ones where i will get to brush shoulders with the ministers (hopefully!).
I guess event’s really my cup of tea, now i think about it. I never used to be so gung-ho about staying back late at something, but now, i’m just working and working and working and the time seems to pass almost too fast for me!
Ok ok.. enough about my job. Gotta go hang clothes now if not no more clothes to wear and that’s bad.
After that, gonna watch my CSI Miami and fall asleep and get ready for yet another busy day at Muse Inc tomorrow.

ARGH!!!! This is soooo frustrating! My first Blog entry for friendster and I had to wait almost half an hour for the page to load!!!!
Anyway, just got my FIRST pay check from my new job. It feels soooOOOooo good and sooOOOooo much better than the previous job. Not being sourgrapes here but I feel that this current position should’ve been what I should’ve pursued in the beginning. I mean, i never have to fake being busy coz there’s always stuff to be done! U must think I’m crazy to love that much work, but I do love it, mainly coz the work is enjoyable and the ppl in the office are top of the world to work with! It’s better than having to pretend to be busy coz that’s all you can do (oops, better not go on, I may get sued)…
Hmm.. just got back from the gym today. Actually, back from swimming at Fitness First. It’s a beautiful place to be in. The view is SPECTACULAR! It’s at the 5th floor of One George St and if you’re not afraid of heights, swimming there is really romantic coz it’s an opened space and there are all these beautiful buildings surrounding it! How cool is that!
Anyway, back to the topic of work. Just completed my first ‘assignment’ 2 weeks into first joining the company. Had to be part of a perfume launch by Loewe. Thoroughly enjoyed myself eventhough there were a few times that I panicked coz it was hot, then coz it rained, then coz it was too hot again. Then, panicked coz there was almost no contestants for our kissing marathon (but daniel ong did a fantastic job in pulling those couples that we needed for our marathon); not to mention a number of shocking moments, like when an old uncle started eating our buffet food meant for the press (luckily it was AFTER the event), shocked when my pants tore (had to buy a new one), shocked when the couples could kiss for 5 hours, shocked when i found out that i still smelled like the perfume even after I went home and took a bath… shocked when 2 gals came up and wanted to take part in the contest but they couldnt coz one of the gals (really loudly and proudly) pronounced that it was her first day of her period, shocked that there were 2 guys who wanted to kiss each other also… many shocks, but all in all it was soooo fun! I could get used to this life.. hehehe…
Now’s the time for me to take my nap. I can only pray that adter I press the save button, this goes straight to be published so I dun waste my effort… My IBM seems smaller and more dull compared to the apple powerbook I use at work… hmm.. i wonder why… hmmm…. Good nite!
